I’m regularly asked how often you should have your dentures checked. If you wear partial dentures you should get your dentist to examine them regularly along with your natural teeth. If you wear full upper and lower dentures you can visit your Clinical Dental Technician (CDT) for an examination. Problems with your dentures can lead to tooth loss, infections or even cancer. Many problems are easily resolved. Your dentist or CDT will give you individual advice as to how long you leave between your examinations but as a rule of thumb Cornwall Denture Clinic advises once a year.
