A little escape from Cornwall this weekend, and I can't tell you how good it is to see trees! Tall trees, wide trees, lots of trees, trees with leaves every colour of the rainbow. Swish-swashing through crispy crunchy leaves, brown leaves, golden leaves, rusty orange and red leaves. Autumn. I love it!! 🍂

Summer was busy. It always is.

Every year, I find myself so excited to welcome the season of summer, visions of all the wild and wonderful adventures we'll get up to, but in reality, once it's here, I find myself feeling overwhelmed, and end up having very few of the adventures I had previously dreamed up!

I LOVE the longer days, the sunshine, the warmth, but I also get overwhelmed with the faster pace of trying to fit it ALL in, every single thing. Every beach trip, every camping opportunity, every adventure, all whilst juggling looking after the kids and working. I find myself overstimulated and in need of retreating, looking forward to the slower pace of September.

This year, however, September didn't really slow down. It passed by in a flash of rushed school mornings, relearning our new morning groove.

It's only now, 2 weeks into October, that I'm starting to feel like I'm finally catching up with myself, finally able to soak in the transformation I've been going through this past year, and finally, after 5 years of living back in Cornwall, and 2 years in our current home, starting to feel like my roots are bedding down.

The seeds I planted this time last year have not only sprouted and blossomed, but have also come to fruition. I feel proud of myself that I've managed to let go of a lot of fear this year, and step into a place of trust, allowing everything to develop as it should!

With this new-found slower pace, I'm ready to plant new seeds; new hopes, dreams and visions for the next year...I'm so excited to see what unfolds.
