2025 was a great year for our little family business. Thank you to all our customers and followers for putting your faith in our products and services.

Recently we’ve been busy with a project to update and improve our flagship earplugs. We’re looking forward to rolling out the improvements once the prototypes have been tested and refined with the support of some of the best and most committed in the business… and ourselves of course!!

It’s been a busy December here in West Cornwall with lots of ears, earplugs and consistent waves. A sunny day on the south coast earlier this week was a definite highlight!

With nearly all of our outstanding orders out the door this week, we’re looking forward to slowing down and enjoying some family time. We’re still checking in with emails, messages and website orders so if you need any emergency spares or replacements please let us know and we’ll get them organised as quickly as we can.

We get asked a lot about using our earplugs at depth and whether it is possible to equalise wearing them. We can’t definitively answer that question as it depends on the individual’s ability to equalise but we have clients that use the plugs successfully to free dive and swim at depths and find they can equalise easily.

We’re just catching up with ourselves after another lovely visit to Ireland. We’re really grateful to all our brilliant hosts and stoked to meet so many folk. From a surfer in his 70s, to up and coming young rippers; it was great to meet so many members of Ireland’s vibrant surf communities all taking their ear health seriously.

We managed a few surfs in between clinics although conditions made for some goose chases to hide from the wind. Wave of the trip went to dad who then missed the train by taking off too late!

If we missed you, we’ll be back next year and also have some options for getting fitted in Ireland so get in touch.

The Moulded team are back in Ireland at the end of the month offering specialist ear health advice, ear checks and fitting appointments for their renowned earplugs.

For surfers, swimmers and anyone who spends time in cold water and wants to look after their ears.

Confirmed dates include:

> Jamie Knox, Brandon Bay - Sunday 26th October
> The Greenroom, Lahinch - Wednesday 29th October
> Troggs Technical Store, Portrush - 1st November

Claire Roynon is a specialist audiologist with vast experience in caring for ears that are regularly submerged in water. 🌟 GIVEAWAY COMPETITION 🌟

We’re really excited to be able to offer these awesome waterproof music players and headphones from along with a custom designed Moulded earplug to fit the headphones. They are available to buy over on our website shop.

We’ve been trialing ours in the pool and in the sea and we’re really stoked with the results so we thought we’d run a little competition to get the word out there.

All you need to do to enter is:
- make sure you are following .earplugs on Instagram
- like this post on Instagram
- tag two friends who might be interested

A few competition rules:
- The winner will get a H2O Audio Stream3 PRO, Surge S+ Earbuds and custom Moulded earplugs designed to fit the Surge S+ headphones
- The competition is open to anyone over the age of 16
- The winner will need to have impressions of their ears. We’re happy to do this free for the winner if they can get to one of our clinics.
- If the winner is already a Moulded customer then we will have their ear impressions on file along with many SurfMouldPro customers (but not all)
- If we do not have access to ear impressions for the winner and they can’t get to one of our clinics, we will endeavor to help the winner get ear impressions to us but we take no responsibility for any costs involved
