Happy Earth Day 🌳
Here’s a quick grounding exercise to celebrate Earth Day:
1. Find a Sit Spot
Stand or sit with your feet on the earth, grass, soil, sand, or stone. If you’re indoors just pretend you’re in nature. Visualise roots extending from your feet into the ground below.
2. Breathe with the Earth
Close your eyes. Take three deep, slow breaths. Inhale through your nose, exhale through your mouth. Feel the air enter your body, imagining with every inhalation you’re breathing in beautiful, fresh, cleansing energy. With every exhalation release your tension.
3. Root Yourself
Imagine strong roots growing from the soles of your feet, reaching deep into the earth. Feel the support, steadiness, and ancient wisdom rising up into your body. Picture these roots anchoring you to the core of earth.
4. Express Gratitude
Silently or out loud, say:
“Thank you, Mother Nature, for your beauty, your strength, and your support. I honour you with every breath I take.”
5. Seal the Connection
Place your hands on your heart. Feel your connection to the earth and all living beings. Carry this grounded energy with you throughout the rest of the day. Repeat as needed.
