How do we do it? Do you not find it upsetting? Why do we do it? The most common questions we get asked.

The answer is simple.

Today we supported a family with a visit to our chapel and within our grounds. They are going to be attending a service next week and wanted to know what to expect. They were shown inside our chapel and were blown away and told us how they had made the right choice! They then visited our grounds and visited one of our ponds and thought this was amazing.

There was going to be someone very young and very dear to the person who passed away and the family simply asked “after the service could I bring them out to see the fish” - the answer of course was yes, we even said we would have fish food at the ready for them to feed them. The family were overjoyed and could not be more thankful!

So yes, it is hard, emotional and stressful but the one thing that carries us through is knowing that one small act of kindness really does go a long way!

Roses are in full bloom! 🌹

Such a beautiful sight to see in the grounds. It reminded us of a poem by Margaret Meade “Remember Me”.

To the living, I am gone,
To the sorrowful, I will never return,
To the angry, I was cheated,
But to the happy, I am at peace,
And to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot speak, but I can listen.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore gazing at a beautiful sea - remember me.
As you look in awe at a mighty forest and its grand majesty - remember me.
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity - remember me.

Remember me in your heart,
Your thoughts, and your memories
Of the times we loved,
The times we cried, the times we fought,
The times we laughed.
For if you always think of me,
I will never have gone.

Chapel update! ❤️

We are pleased to announce that we have refurbished our chapel.

Part of this refurbishment included new lighting and new flooring. We are so pleased that our new flooring compliments the plaques that adorn our walls so well!

We couldn’t be happier with the final result but what are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.

We are pleased to announce we are bringing back our “Summer Open Day” ☀️

This will be an oppurtunity for you all to visit our historic and beautiful grounds. We do believe that there are many people that haven’t had the opportunity to see what we are so lucky to see every day!

The day will consist of a tour of our grounds led by our Business Leader Leon, a behind the scenes tour with our Cremator Technician Steve and also fun activities with our memorial consultant Jacqueline, allowing you to plant some flowers or even painting a stone for our grounds.

Our site was built in 1903 and we offer so much history! We ask that people take the time to visit, take in the history and ask any questions you may have.

There will be hot food and drinks available!

It would mean the world to us if you took the time to visit and see what we are working on in the grounds ❤️
