Here is what is on offer by lovely Emma who offers respite to carers and allows one to feel at one with nature .

The Solace, a truly special and tranquil glamping experience, in a unique Shepherd's hut, hand- crafted using timber sourced and milled from nearby estates by a local carpenter. Nestled in the shaddow of an ancient woodland, the Solace offers a secluded, peaceful retreat, to escape and get back to nature for a digital detox.
The Solace sleeps four, a very comfortable double bed, with a bespoke bunk in a separate room.
The space
We provide a comfortable double bed and a bunkbed complete with bedding.
A wood burning stove supplies the warmth and source of heating for a cuppy using our wee stove top kettle.
We provide:
A hospitality tray - tea, coffee, sugar, local tablet and UHT bottled milk.
Towels, cutlery & crockery and cooking equipment. We will also supply bottled water as there is no mains water and hand sanitiser in the outdoor toilet.
There is not any electricity but there will be fairy lights and LED lanterns.
The area does not cover Wi-Fi but there is limited 4g and mobile reception.
We have installed a composting toilet, which is situated in a cosy outhouse.
An outdoor kitchen & dining area, fully equipped is situated on the decking area outside the Solace for our guests to prepare meals and dine under shelter.
With the opportunity to stargaze in the evening without the light pollution from towns and cities, our guests may see shooting stars, the Milky Way etc.
Coolboxes and icepacks are available on request, these outside should keep food cool enough.
Our guests only need to bring their food and toiletries.
Wellies/ sturdy footwear and outdoor clothing are advisable.
Please bring slippers as we have a no outdoor shoe policy in the Solace.
We have a good supply of board games, cards and nature books.
Unfortunately, due to the location of the Solace, pets are not allowed.
Guest access
The Solace is solely available to our guests.
Other things to note
The Solace is a 10 minute walk from the parking area.
A short walk that takes you up a gentle slope under the ancient tree canopy, along the Binzian burn to the clearing where the Shepherd’s hut stands.
There is waterfall in a magical den, where if guests wish they can explore and take a dip in the pool.
We have an abundance of wildlife, red squirrels, foxes, pinemartens, hedgehogs and the occasional badger, there is also many different birds of prey, owls, buzzards, redkites etc aswell as our garden and woodland birds.
