Hey everyone. Just to let you know that Vision PK are holding a quiz night at their premises.. VisionPK, 17-19 George Street in Perth on Friday 22nd August from 7pm. £2 per person with a max team size of 6. Bring your own drinks and nibbles. Alcohol is allowed 🙂. There is a cash prize of £50 for the winning team and a raffle to win a DBB hotel stay. Sooooo, the update for the fundraising for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance - SCAA's 100 Miles in May! I have raised £20.49 on instagram and £325 in person. I'm really grateful for your support and sponsorship. It was a very satisfying way to start my fitness again this year. Hopefully they will achieve their goal for a new helicopter that could fly further and faster which as we all know is essential for difficult to reach areas in Scotland but especially the Highlands and Islands. Even if you didn't get a chance to contribute, here's a link

No one in Scotland should die because help cannot get there in time. We rely on kind supporters like you to deliver vital emergency care to people across the country. Please give a donation today to make sure SCAA is always there in time to save lives.

Please be respectful when going on holidays and follow all rules and guidelines.

It’s no secret that many people enjoy campervanning and caravanning throughout the Highlands and Islands, however this needs to be done responsibly to ensure that all locals and visitors alike can continue to enjoy our roads and the scenery on offer.

🛻 NEVER park in passing places on single track roads.

🏕️ Only pitch up in suitable designated car parks or caravan sites. Laybys, short stay car parks and the side of the roads are not suitable, and under the Scottish Outdoor Access Code you cannot wild camp from vehicles Do not drive off road or on private roads/tracks.

🚙 Pull over to allow other road users to overtake. Frustration causes accidents.

🚽 Only dispose of your rubbish at recycling points, and only empty waste water tanks at designated pump out sites. Pumping out anywhere else is not only dangerous but is a serious offence.

And the switch is on! Welcome to the festive season! It’s going to be crazy busy as we get prepared for time off to be with family and friends, gift shopping, menu planning, shopping and cooking, going to events… list goes on. Remember to be mindful especially of how you feel, take a break if you need to, have a massage. Shop local and support a family or a lone creative. If you would like a gift voucher I can arrange a gift wrap Japanese style ready for pick up or delivery in Perthshire. Tis a season to be jolly! ☺️

Got woken up by a draught and shut the window to be greeted by the clearest sky with stars and planets. It’s not often you get to see stars from developed areas in Scotland, less so with constant cloud cover. Something us Aussies take for granted. So as tired as I was, I wanted to appreciate this rare sight and work out the constellations based on an app. Then I slept beautifully after that.

Ok finally had the weather to help me complete this year’s gift card shūgi-bukuro (money envelope) sleeves. So many different colours to choose from! Took me a while to get into the rhythm but now it’s started and can’t wait to make some more!
