Paint brushes out and community spirit shining bright! 🎨

This week our Funeral Service Operative Kenny has been lending a hand helping paint the fence outside of Kinnoull Parish Church.

Supporting our community goes beyond the work we do every day.

We were proud to spend time helping refresh the church fence alongside local volunteers. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and effort.

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we are joining the nationwide effort to shine a light on mental health.

Tonight, Perth Bridge will light up in purple in support of Mental Health Awareness Week. 💜

With this year’s theme focused on Action, this is a simple reminder that even small actions can help show support, raise understanding and remind people that they are not alone.

Sometimes, the people who help us most during difficult times are the ones who simply show up 💚

The friend who checks in.
The family member who listens.
The colleague who notices when things don’t feel okay.
The professional who offers support and guidance.
The person who sits beside us when we don’t have the words.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’d love to shine a light on those people too.

If there’s someone who has supported you, given advice, listened without judgement, or simply been there when you needed them most, tag them below and let them know how much it meant.

A small thank you can mean the world 💚

Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Grief can change everything. It can affect how we think, sleep, work, socialise and cope with everyday life. No two people experience it in the same way. Some people talk openly about how they’re feeling. Others carry it quietly. Some feel supported, while others can feel incredibly alone, even when surrounded by people.

One thing that matters so much during those difficult moments is knowing there is someone to turn to. Whether that’s a friend, a family member, or a professional support service, having someone listen without judgement can make the weight of grief feel a little less heavy.

Please share this post and if you know someone who may be struggling, send them these details. A simple conversation or connection could make all the difference 💚

This week has been about something simple, but profound: making space to talk.

These conversations don’t have to be finished, perfect, or even fully formed. What matters is beginning - creating a safe, gentle space where your loved one feels heard, respected, and valued.

Every small moment of openness is a step toward understanding, dignity, and shared peace of mind.

This Dying Matters Week, Dignity has stood alongside Hospice UK, supporting families to approach these conversations with care, compassion, and confidence - now and in the days ahead.

As the week comes to a close, what’s one small thing you’re taking away - a thought, a phrase, or a moment that stayed with you? Share in the comments and help keep the conversation going. 💙
