"When you know who you are, other people can come and go in your life without shaking your world, because your foundation is solid and unshakable, because you have yourself.
When you know who you are, the opinions and judgments of others matter much less, and people can say critical or mean words about you without it affecting who you are and how you feel.
When you know who you are, other people can reject or abandon you without changing your identity, because you know that your destiny is not tied to those who chose to leave you, and you feel whole and complete inside.
When you know who you are, you appreciate that, and you don't put your happiness and sense of self-worth in someone else's hands. Nor do you make others responsible for what you experience, waiting for their rescue, sitting locked in a dungeon, dependent on their key.
To free yourself, means to take full responsibility for your emotions, identity and well-being, being aware that all of this depends only on you.
You are the one who chooses how to live and what to feel!
And when you know who you are, rather than spending so much time and energy trying to impress others, or projecting upon them the fulfillment of your own unmet needs and desires, you choose to prioritize your own needs and well-being, making your relationship with you a purpose, because the most important relationship is the one with yourself!”
