A huge milestone for Steven White Training today!

We’ve just successfully delivered our first ever 2-day training package, combining Fire Marshal and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW).

This one was extra special — delivered in collaboration with Archangel Training, and all made possible thanks to the Head Chef of the incredible “Under the Table” restaurant in Edinburgh… and a lifelong friend, Phil Lynch.

It’s always rewarding delivering training, but even more so when it comes full circle with great people, strong partnerships, and local businesses supporting each other.

Here’s to more collaborations, more growth, and many more courses to come

What a fantastic Sunday spent celebrating the power of collaboration in early years education 🙌

We were proud to work in partnership with ATS Childcare and Hubba Training to deliver their FREE Paediatric First Aid course to the incredible team at Cheeky Monkeys in Auchterarder – “the lang toon”

From start to finish, the team showed outstanding commitment, throwing themselves fully into every practical session. Beyond the hands-on learning, what truly stood out were the meaningful, in-depth conversations around the real-life application of first aid within early years settings.

These discussions are what make the difference — sharing experiences, exploring challenges, and strengthening the supportive approaches we all bring as a collective of early years educators.

Congratulations to the fantastic team at Bright Starts Nursery Perth today!

A highly focused group who took their role play scenarios seriously, exactly as they should. The level of engagement and professionalism was brilliant to see.

There was some excellent critical reflection throughout the session, particularly around Care Inspectorate medication policies, SIMOA, safeguarding, and understanding adult trauma. The team also demonstrated strong practical skills, with expert bandaging and core techniques being implemented and refined to a high standard.

This session was delivered as part of a fantastic collaboration with ATS Childcare and Hubba Training, with all three training providers coming together to deliver the full Paediatric Blended First Aid course — completely FREE for the staff involved. A brilliant example of what can be achieved through partnership and shared commitment to raising standards in childcare.

As the weather warms up, more families are spending time outdoors and that often means time in the garden.

But if you have little ones, water safety must always be front of mind.

It’s a difficult topic, but an important one:
Drowning doesn’t look like it does in the movies.

A child who is drowning:

* Won’t usually splash
* Won’t shout for help
* Can slip quietly under the water, often unnoticed

That’s why awareness is key.

The good news is, when you understand how and where drowning happens, you can take simple steps to prevent it.

Our first twilight session wrapped up this evening with the fantastic team at Acrewood Early Learning and Childcare Centre as they successfully completed their Paediatric First Aid course 👏

Since opening their doors in October 2025, the team has shown a real commitment to building something special — working closely with the local community to create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for children to grow and thrive.

It’s clear they’re not just a childcare service, but a centre striving to become a true hub of excellence within their community. Along with ATS Childcare and Hubba Training we’re proud to support them on that journey 💙

Huge congratulations to the fantastic team at Bright Starts Nursery Glasgow on successfully completing their Paediatric First Aid certification!

Delivered in collaboration with Hubba Training and ATS Childcare , this course focused on building the confidence and skills needed to respond in real-life emergencies.

Key areas covered included:
👶 Choking — how to recognise and respond quickly in babies and young children
❤️ CPR — understanding the differences and correct techniques for infants, children, and adults
⏱ Acting fast and effectively when every second counts

Huge congratulations to all the candidates attending their Part 2 Paediatric First Aid course today, at Smiley Stars Nursery Crosshill.

This session marked another fantastic collaboration between Hubba Training ATS Childcare and Steven White Training, bringing together knowledge, experience, and a shared commitment to child safety.

Today’s learning focused on some incredibly important topics, including:
💚 Understanding the differences in cardiac arrest in males and females
💚Recognising the difference between gagging and choking in babies and young children
💚Reflecting on SIMOA, safeguarding, child protection, and the vital role of the responsible adult

These are the moments that build confidence, sharpen skills, and ultimately help protect the most vulnerable in our care.
