03/01/2026
This month’s supermoon, is also known as the Wolf Moon and is the first full moon of 2026. Jupiter will travel near it all night on January 3, and will appear just below the moon. Winter constellation Orion also rises higher in the sky near the moon. Look up in these clear crisp skies if you are in the UK . Saturn, which is in the southwest sky around moonrise, is worth a look too.
The supermoon is only one of just 2 this year, with the second being in November.
At this moment, the earth is closest to the sun and the moon is nearest to earth.
The full moon is a time to let go and release all that we no longer need. This may also include setting boundaries or creating distance from anyone that doesn't fit well in our lives anymore or holds us back.
This makes way for new things and people to come into your life.
Photo is my own taken this evening as the moon rose.
