Understanding the difference between
UVA and UVB rays is crucial.
UVA rays pe*****te deeply, causing long-term skin damage, while UVB rays primarily affect the surface and cause sunburn.
UVA = Ageing
UVB = Burning
That’s why when you’re looking for an SPF, it’s important you look for one labelled “broad-spectrum” as it protects against both UVA and UVB.
Both reduce long-term skin cancer risk.
Without UVA protection, you could avoid sunburn but still accelerate ageing and cumulative skin damage.
If you’ve got any questions about SPF, please send me a DM and I can suggest some really good ones.
