Do your fingers or toes change colour when you feel cold, stressed or anxious? ❄️
This could be Raynaud’s phenomenon, a condition that affects blood flow to the fingers and toes.

When exposed to cold temperatures or emotional stress, blood vessels can narrow, causing fingers or toes to turn white, blue or red. Some people may also feel numbness, tingling or pain until normal blood flow returns.

Raynaud’s is common and often mild, but symptoms can usually be managed by:
• Keeping hands and feet warm 🧤
• Avoiding sudden temperature changes
• Managing stress levels
• Stopping smoking

If your symptoms are frequent, painful or worsening, it’s important to speak to a healthcare professional for advice and support.

❄️ Snow and ice warning ❄️

Icy weather can make pavements very slippery, and falls are more common – especially for older people.

If you or someone else falls, try to stay calm. Take a moment to check for any pain or injuries and only try to get up if it feels safe.

If further help is needed, call 111 for advice or 999 in an emergency.

Stay safe and take extra care when out and about.

Knowing your units helps you know your limits 🍷🍺

There isn’t a completely safe amount of alcohol, but keeping within 14 units or less a week can help lower the risk of harm. Spreading your drinks across the week and tracking your units can help you stay in control and make healthier choices.

Find out how to calculate your alcohol units here ℹ️
