VCF Physiotherapy is a private physiotherapy practice based in Peterborough The practice consists of three chartered and HPC registered physiotherapists.

VCF Physiotherapy and Sports Injury clinic was founded by Vivienne Fort in January 2003. VCF is a private physiotherapy practice based in Bretton, Peterborough that specialises in musculoskeletal problems and sports Injuries. At VCF Physiotherapy we uphold the highest standards of care and professionalism. We strive towards resolving musculoskeletal conditions, preventing reoccurrence and reducing pain in all of our patients. We build aspects of health, fitness and lifestyle into our treatments and always provide education to patients on self management techniques if they require it.

☁️ Winter Is Coming – And So Is Vitamin D Deficiency ☁️

As daylight hours drop and we spend more time indoors, vitamin D levels naturally decline — especially here in the UK.

Low vitamin D can contribute to:
⚡ Muscle weakness and fatigue

Another great in service training session with the team this week on how to get our paediatric patients back to sport post injury 😀

The training session included advice on how to gradually increase non-contact training prior to return to sport and when to get patients back to sport with the use of outcome measures to test if our patients are ready!

Looking forward to applying these principles to our paediatric and adult patients 🙌

TMJ pain (temporomandibular joint pain) is a painful condition affecting the movement of the jaw.

It can be caused by overuse, muscular tension, teeth grinding, jaw injuries and arthritis.

Common symptoms may include jaw pain and clicking, facial and eye pain and headaches.

Physiotherapy can be beneficial in reducing the symptoms of TMJ pain or dysfunction.
We can use a variety of manual therapy techniques along with appropriate prescribing of exercises and advice.
