All rooms are single rooms with wet room en-suite shower facilities and can be personalised with décor and furnishings to suit. There is also an assisted bathroom available if preferred. There are TV and telephone points in each room and a security call system should assistance be required. Staffing
A housekeeping team will carry out cleaning and laundry although should a resident prefer to do their own personal laundry and cleaning this can be arranged. A keyworker is assigned to each resident and a Person Centred Plan is worked on, in conjunction with the resident’s family, to ensure that personal wishes, likes and dislikes are known and provided for and that care and support is provided as and when it is required. The large and homely lounges enable residents to meet, watch the large flat screen TVs or just sit and relax. If a person seeks peace and solitude they can use the secluded garden or enjoy the tranquillity of their own room. Meals
Our resident catering team work to ensure that meals are nutritionally balanced and offer flexibility and choice to suit all ethnic and religious requirements. Three full meals are offered and hot and cold drinks and snacks are available at all times. Residents can eat in the dining room or, if preferred, in their own room. Activities
Activities are designed to add quality to a person’s life. Staff will always try to provide a stimulating environment with fulfilling and meaningful activities personal to each individual. For people with a dementia, staff will support the individual in activities and social opportunities based on their preferences and strengths. Friends and family are not restricted in the times they can visit and residents are also encouraged to visit their family and friends if possible. Visits to local hairdressers and shops can be arranged, and there is a hairdressing facility in the home if preferred. Involvement
Residents can participate in the day-to-day management of the home and friends and family are also welcomed to comment and take part in the meetings held regularly. Services
The Doctor from our local surgery visits the home regularly and District Nurses will visit if needed. Residents can retain their own GP if practicable. We can also make local arrangements for private chiropody, dental, optical and other healthcare needs. Family and friends are welcome to stay for meals with prior notice and we keep an open-door policy for all visitors. We conduct regular service-user meetings where residents and relatives can voice their concerns, suggestions or praise for any aspect of the home.
