I am an experienced and qualified Integrative counsellor, which means I bring together a variety of therapy types, depending on what works well for the client or clients. As well as working in private practice, I have significant experience of working with young adults in a large secondary school providing long-term therapy as well as working with YMCA offering time-limited counselling, again to y
oung adults. Until recently I also worked within a large Employer Assistance company providing time-limited, evidence based, therapy with NHS referrals from GP's and Health Care Professionals. People who have come to me have experienced a range of difficulties and I have, therefore, gained significant experience of working with loss, bereavement and grief, separation and divorce, health issues, miscarriage, abortion, su***de and self harm, abuse, redundancy, financial problems, identity issues, relationship difficulties, self esteem, self doubt and indecision, depression, panic, anxiety, and bullying. I will be an engaged and active member of the therapy process and will help you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe setting where confidentiality and a non-judgmental environment are paramount, along with positive regard, compassion and understanding. My focus is to see your situation through your eyes and to help you to gain a more coherent view of your situation. To do this I offer a safe environment where difficult issues can be faced, thought through and discussed, working towards resolution and acceptance along with the development of individual autonomy. My consulting room is peaceful and private being located in the village of Stilton, just 1 minute from the A1M, which is easily commutable from Peterborough town centre, Stamford, Oundle and Huntingdon.
