Each month, we take great pride in recognising our staff for the fantastic work they do 🌟 Through nominations and votes from both relatives and fellow team members, one individual is chosen as Employee of the Month and awarded a certificate along with a gift voucher as a token of our appreciation for their dedication and hard work 👏

We are delighted to celebrate our three recent winners from January, February, and March 🏆 To make the occasion even more special, we held a family meeting where relatives were invited to present the certificates and vouchers themselves. It was a lovely, heartfelt moment that brought everyone together and truly highlighted the strong sense of community within our home ❤️

A huge thank you Peterborough College for kindly loaning us such incredible artwork created by their talented students for our World Art Day celebrations, proudly displayed throughout Fitzwilliam House.

The residents were absolutely captivated, taking their time to admire each piece and really appreciate the creativity and skill behind them. There were so many lovely conversations sparked by the artwork, with residents commenting on the remarkable detail, vibrant colours, and the stories they felt each piece told. It truly brought the space to life and created a wonderful atmosphere filled with inspiration and admiration.

Moments like this show just how powerful art can be in bringing people together, encouraging expression, and sparking joy. We are so grateful to have been part of such a special collaboration and to share this meaningful experience with our residents.

🌼🎨 Gardening Club at Ashlynn Grange 🎨🌼

Our fortnightly Gardening Club has been in full bloom again this week, and what a lovely time we’ve all had! 🌿💛 From planting and watering to decorating our outdoor spaces, there’s always something for everyone to get involved in.

This week, our residents got wonderfully creative as they painted beautiful butterfly decorations 🦋✨ Each one was made bright, colourful, and full of personality, reflecting the joy and imagination of those who created them. It was fantastic to see everyone so engaged, chatting, laughing, and taking pride in their artwork.

Once finished, the butterflies were carefully placed out in the garden, adding a cheerful splash of colour for everyone to enjoy 🌸🌞 The smiles on our residents’ faces said it all – a truly uplifting and enjoyable activity for all involved.

We’re already looking forward to our next Gardening Club session! 🌱

🐣✨ Exciting times at Ashlynn Grange! ✨🐣

This week has been full of life, wonder, and a lot of happy noise! Our tiny new arrivals made their grand entrance earlier in the week, and what an incredible journey it has been. From the first little cracks in the shells to the final fluffy arrivals, residents have been completely captivated every step of the way.

There’s something truly special about witnessing new life begin. The anticipation, the patience, and then the joy as each chick finally emerges—it’s brought smiles, conversations, and even a few emotional moments. 💛

Now that all seven have safely arrived, the focus has turned to watching them grow and thrive. They’ve certainly found their voices too… the room is filled with cheerful chirping that never fails to lift spirits! 🐥🎶

We can’t wait to continue this journey and see how much they grow over the coming days and weeks! 🌱🐣

Today residents took a trip to the Halcyon Pub in Peterborough, where they enjoyed a fantastic lunch out. Everyone was able to choose their own meals and drinks, and they raised a glass together to say “cheers.” There was plenty of conversation, particularly about holidays, along with some puzzles and lots of laughter. Residents commented how lovely the food was,Overall, it was a very enjoyable and sociable outing for all involved.

Yesterday marked the start of our Walking Club 🚶‍♀️🌿

Residents from each community enjoyed a gentle stroll around the home and gardens, taking in the fresh air and admiring the beautiful flowers and blossoming trees 🌸🌳

It was lovely to hear everyone sharing how much they enjoyed being outdoors again.

We even had a special little encounter with Spud the cat 🐾🐱

A truly heartwarming moment seeing so many smiling faces and residents enjoying their day 💛

Ashlyn Grange, had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful display of Royal Mint memorabilia, kindly loaned to us from the library. The session took us on a fascinating journey from the days of pre-decimal currency to the introduction of decimal money, sparking plenty of memories along the way.

Residents enjoyed exploring coins such as shillings, sixpences, half-crowns, farthings, and pennies, while learning about how coins and medals were made and the stories behind the designs we see today. There were plenty of hands-on examples to look at, making it both interactive and engaging for everyone.

It was a lovely mix of fun, learning, and reminiscing, with lots of shared stories and smiles throughout. A truly enjoyable afternoon for all! 💛

Easter at Ashlynn Grange! 🐣🌸

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming our lovely friends from Rise and Shine Nursery, who brought along five wonderful children to spend time with our residents 💛

The day was filled with Easter fun as we got creative making colourful Easter hats 🎩🐰, painting beautiful decorations 🎨, and singing along to cheerful nursery rhymes 🎶. Laughter filled the room as everyone joined in the excitement of Easter egg hunts 🥚✨, followed by tasty treats and drinks 🍰☕

Our talented chef also treated everyone to a delicious homemade Easter cake 🎂🐣, specially made for our residents to enjoy over the Easter period—such a lovely extra touch!

The children had a fantastic time collecting lots of little Easter eggs and truly made the most of every moment. There were so many smiles, happy faces, and even one little one blowing kisses to our residents 😘—it was simply heartwarming!

A particularly special moment was when one of the children gifted a hand-painted Easter egg to a resident, which absolutely made her day 🥹💝

It was such a joyful, uplifting visit, and our residents were over the moon to spend time with these little bundles of happiness. We can’t wait to welcome them back again soon!

✨ Join us for some egg-citing fun at Ashlynn Grange! 🐣

Why not come along on Saturday 11th April for our National Pet Day celebration? We’ll have Michelle’s adorable pets joining us at 3pm—perfect for cuddles, smiles and lots of laughter 🐾💛

Then from 13th April, our incredible eggs will be arriving! Watch the magic as they hatch and turn into beautiful chicks growing throughout the week in their cosy incubator—such a special experience for everyone to enjoy 🐥

🐣🌼 What an EGG-cellent Good Friday at Ashlynn Grange! 🌼🐣

We had the most fantastic day filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of fluffy fun! 🐑💛 A huge THANK YOU to Ruth’s family for bringing in the adorable triplet lambs—they completely stole the show! Residents, children, and staff all had the chance to hold, stroke, and even feed them… and let’s just say, there were smiles all around! 🥰✨

And the fun didn’t stop there… 🐰🍫
We were hopping with excitement for our Easter Egg Hunt, with some very special bunny visitors joining us! Residents had a wonderful time getting involved, sharing laughs, and enjoying every moment of the Easter spirit 🐇🌸

It was a day full of giggles, cuddles, and happy memories—one we won’t forget anytime soon! 💖
