Joking aside, we often confuse thirst for hunger. I myself last night was craving something sweet badly but I knew I wasn’t hungry as had just eaten a huge salad. So I went and got a large glass of water and added some of our water flavouring(I like the pineapple and orange mixed) and β€œbam”, the β€œhunger” craving was gone! 🀣

Those kind of sudden cravings are signs of emotional hunger not real hunger. They come on fast and are usually for a type of food. It also helps to distract yourself, go for a walk, clear out a cupboard, do some crafting, whatever you choose but that distraction of the brain can really help overcome those cravings.

Try and learning to recognise the difference between hunger and thirst helps as in the past I’d have just said I want some sweet and diced into the chocolate!! πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸ• πŸ§‹

Let me introduce our very own
Butternut Squash Mac n Cheese

Serves: 2
Prep time: 20 Minutes
Cook time: 50 Minutes
Calories: 400 kcal per serving
Suitable for steps: 3 upwards.

This variation on a classic macaroni cheese makes a delicious and economical supper. Serve it with a crisp salad or some steamed green vegetables. If wished, you can substitute pumpkin for the squash. Β

Are you regular 8hrs a night person or do you toss and turn all night waking up sluggish and spend the day reaching for caffeine and sugar filled snacks?
