How often do you give yourself stillness?
And I mean nothing.
Not scrolling, watching TV, not even reading.
Just being?
We don’t give ourselves this beautiful gift of being.
I know I didn’t!
It’s too easy to pick up the phone and scroll through something (socials, email, WhatsApp etc).
It’s like we have forgotten how to just be.
To allow ourselves that time to feel bored, frustrated, or maybe even joyful.
Once you get past the frustration and perhaps even uneasiness, it becomes insightful.
It is in that stillness that you start to find the real you.
Letting go of shoulds, expectations, and the endless to-do lists (spoiler alert - they never get done!) Allowing the thinking to settle and the reality of now to be present.
This time of year seems to put our stress levels up and our wellbeing down.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to do it the other way round?
