GP weight loss injection prescriptions
From 23 June GPs can prescribe tirzepatide injections.

Tirzepatide is also known as Mounjaro®.
This does not mean prescriptions will be provided immediately. Patients with the greatest health risks will be prioritised.

GP practices will identify people who may be eligible for weight loss injection prescriptions and contact them to discuss whether it is the right option to help them.

Patients do not need to contact their GP.

Who is eligible?

To access NHS weight loss injection prescriptions patients need to have a body mass index (BMI) of at least 40 and at least four of the following five weight related comorbidities:

-type 2 diabetes
-high blood pressure
-heart disease
-obstructive sleep apnoea
-abnormal blood fats (dyslipidaemia)

The patient must also agree to take part in additional lifestyle support as part of their treatment. Both the patient and the healthcare professional need to agree that weight loss medication is the most appropriate treatment option for them.

‼️‼️ POWER CUT

As most of you know we have had a power cut and multiple properties are affected in the area. We are now experiencing intermittent issues with our internet and phone lines so we ask for you to bear with us at this time.

We have been informed by Norther Power Grid they will be onsite at where the problem has occurred and this shouldn’t take long to be rectified.

🎄☃️ CHRISTMAS HOURS

Arbroath House opening times will remain the same over the Christmas period however we will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New years Day.

William Brown Centre will close early on both Christmas Eve and New Years Eve meaning we will close at 6pm. We will then be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. All other business days will remain the same.

If you need any medical attention during the Christmas period you can contact a pharmacy, 111 or 999 for any urgent life threatening circumstances.
