Downs House first care home social of 2026 !
What an amazing event this was.
our residents and surrounding care homes, local faces all came along to enjoy an afternoon of singing, dancing, refreshments and cakes.
The dance floor was filled with happy faces and everyone was dancing along to Chris Buck singing.
We look forward to entertaining everyone next month.

There was snow ❄️ on Monday, which meant we all stayed inside, warm and cosy. It was Bird Day, but with not many birds visiting the garden (they must have been keeping warm too!), the residents and visitors spent time colouring in bird pictures and chatting about them instead.

We were also delighted to have a visit from cheeky puppy Fig ♥️

We’ve enjoyed a lovely first week of the year at Stroud House. We were delighted to welcome the wonderful Will Tierney - Acoustic Singer, who joined us for an afternoon filled with singing and dancing. Residents, staff, and relatives had a fantastic time joining in and sharing the joy of music together.

A wonderful selection of savoury and sweet treats was created by Lee, our marvellous chef. Thank you to our dedicated care team for waiting on everyone and ensuring the celebration was enjoyed by all.

A special cheer to the new year 🫶🍷
Downs House certainly saw the new year in with style.
With music from Chris Robert’s,
And Afternoon bakes and cakes. #
We all watched the firework display from the comfort of our warm home.
Thank you to mark our amazing maintenance man for making this possible.
We had a wonderful new year song along with the lovely Chris Buck Music.
With an early count down as we all joined hands to sing Auld Lang Syne.
To top it off our amazing night team celebrated at midnight seeing in 2026 together.
What an amazing New Year’s Eve we had.
