We have been so busy this last week or two.

We went to the entertainment group in Petersfield, exercised, sang and danced, chatted quietly, built jigsaws, read books, made pizzas, did aqua painting, played darts, painted nest boxes, played games, painted nails, celebrated India's cuisine, played balloon tennis, listened to records, used our interactive projector and watched the winter Olympics and the 6 nations.

PHEW!!!

We look forward to a full and busy March next 😀

We were recently entertained by the singing and dancing of the lovely Alice.

As usual a wonderful afternoon of singing and moving to some of our favourite songs.

Our residents have been enjoying our new interactive, sensory projector.

From quizzes to ballgames, and lots of pictures to spark conversation and reminiscence.

It's a sensory activity that includes lights, sound, colour and still and moving images that promote social interaction and movement.

Lots of 'flipping' fun on pancake day was had at Steep House.

Followed in the evening by pancakes with lemon for dessert.

We celebrated Chinese New Year with a very tasty lunch.

Sarinya made chicken in black bean sauce, prawn crackers, spring rolls, noodles and egg fried rice followed by banana fritters for dessert.

We had some fun with our new glasses and hats as well.

Valentine's Day 💘

A special menu created by the kitchen and a beautifully decorated dining room set the mood for the day.

Fun photos with valentine glasses and artificial roses went alongside reminiscence about how we met our loved ones.

Jenny met her husband in Hong Kong. He was the captain of a naval ship on shore leave, they went out with a group of friends then courted.

Trissie met Richard at a village dance at the Rising Sun Inn, Milland.

Bunny met John at work, he had a motorbike which her parents didn't approve of but it didn't put her off.

After lunch we decorated wooden hearts, with colours, glittery hearts and felt flowers.

Afternoon tea was accompanied by the most amazing cupcakes, once again a huge thank you to Sarinya and her team. The large heart shaped cake was saved and cut for supper.

We took part by making some pizzas and the residents enjoyed them as part of their afternoon teatime.
