Sports massage is not just for sports people – anyone can benefit!

Sports Massage is not just for sports people- anyone benefit! It uses hands on techniques such as kneading and manipulating soft tissue, muscles, tendons and ligaments in order to prevent and treat injuries, improve performance and improve efficiency of the muscular skeletal system. Sports massage tends to be a deeper and more intense treatment. Why use sports massage? Sports massage is an excellent way of speeding up the recovery of muscles during intense training/use and following an injury.
- Reduce anxiety - massage induces relaxation which in turn reduces anxiety.
- Pain reduction - massage helps reduce tension and release the bodies endorphins which influence pain perception.
- Relaxation - muscles relax with massage and stretching.
-Massage has been proven to be effective for releasing and reducing tension in the muscles, improving circulation and encouraging the removal of waste products such as lactic acid. The massage usually starts gently, to calm and relax the muscles, releasing any superficial tension. As the treatment progresses the massage will work deeper into the muscles especially in the problem area.

There's the gift shopping, the nativity plays, drinks with the neighbours and then the ULTIMATE in Christmas stress - The big food shop and Elf on the Shelf. 🤯🤯🤯

Last week was a reminder of my stress bucket and how, when everything goes in it - it can literally overflow - leaving us overwhelmed, stressed suffering poor sleep and anxiety. Not the best way to begin the happiest time of the year!

So, the best way to help to empty your bucket is to to fill your cup - and not just any cup - your Festive Cup!

As we head into December I want to you to fill it with things that make you happy and feel good.

✨ A night in watching your favourite Christmas film.
✨ A trip to a Christmas fair or to see some Christmas lights.
✨ Lighting your favourite Christmas candle and enjoying a quiet coffee for 5 minutes.

Let me know some of the happy things you have planned this December... Remember that don't have to be big things, it could be opening the Christmas biscuits and enjoying a quiet cuppa or dancing to Mariah Carey around the kitchen as you cook the breakfast!
