Delivered Online and Face-to-Face, indoors or outdoors. My counselling practice is guided by over 20 years of helping people in diffi
cult and often stressful situations. I have worked operationally in the Armed Forces as a Commissioned Military Chaplain; NHS Emergency Departments and Critical Care Wards as a Registered Nurse; the Police; the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI); as well as teaching in schools and a university. I understand how daunting it can feel when seeking counselling support, and the importance of knowing that you have found the right therapist to work with. I founded Avon CBT & Psychotherapy on the values of integrity and compassion and my priority is to provide a safe, warm and non-judgemental space to calmly work through the difficulties affecting your life or relationships. I provide therapy to individuals and couples from around the world, and can accommodate the needs of family life, business travel, work shift patterns and armed forces deployments. I am able to assist with a broad range of individual and relational issues, such as Anxiety and Phobias; Depression, Abuse and Trauma (PTSD); Communication and conflict patterns leading to relationship difficulties; as well as recovery from affairs. I also have significant experience of working with neurodiversity (particularly ADHD), understanding the challenges this can bring to our closest relationships, self-esteem, work and family life. I know how daunting it can feel to be seeking counselling support and the importance of knowing that you have found the right therapist to work with.
