Today on International Women’s Day, I reflect on a journey that began 27 years ago when I first entered the funeral profession.

Being a female funeral director in what has traditionally been a male-dominated industry has not always been easy, but it has been one of the greatest honours of my life. I am incredibly proud of what I have achieved and the families I have had the privilege to support during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported me and my husband Ross throughout our journey. Building a life and career dedicated to caring for others is not something you do alone, and we are truly grateful for the encouragement, belief and kindness we have received along the way.

A special thank you to my wonderful parents, who supported my dream from the very beginning and encouraged me to follow my heart into this profession.

And most importantly, thank you to my incredible staff who over the years have become like family to me. Your compassion, dedication and hard work mean more than words can say. Without each and every one of you, none of this would be possible. 🤍

Today I celebrate not only my own journey, but all the incredible women who lead with strength, compassion and kindness, quietly making a difference in people’s lives every single day.

Here’s to strong women — may we know them, may we be them, and may we raise them. ✨

This is our 12th year collecting Easter Eggs for our older generation.

As a family business, we understand how difficult finances are at present with the cost of living — which is why we are starting our collection earlier this year to help spread the cost.

No donation is too small — every egg makes a difference.
