Established 1993, we are a family run bespoke and hand finishing picture framers in East Sussex

Kings Framers combine the very traditional skills and high standards of cabinet making with an in-depth knowledge of innovations in modern materials available to framers. We thoroughly enjoy taking time to advise over the right mount and frame for each picture; and because we can hand paint, gild, silver, stain or wax your frame to order, there is wonderful array of choice. You needn’t be overwhelmed by the possibilities though: there is usually one combination that will perfectly suit both the image and the place in which it is to hang. We also have collection of online artwork, drawn predominantly from modern British printmakers, has gradually grown over the last twenty years. Our reputation as framers and art restorers has meant unique access to new or newly available editions, as has our strong presence visiting Art Fairs. Our contact with artists, galleries and collectors alike not only gives us access to, but also an excellent overview of the contemporary art market. We are now established as the first port of call for numerous investors, private collectors and many others, nationally and internationally, wishing to source specific artwork.

Framed for our recent collaboration with Natasha O’Kane, Sussex Contemporary Art, this work by Nick Bodimeade has been presented in a solid oak frame, using acid-free materials and 70% UV protective, anti-reflective glass to ensure both longevity and clarity.

As part of our collaboration for the exhibition, visitors were able to acquire works and easily select bespoke framing on site, with an exclusive 20% reduction on our services.

We recently had the pleasure of framing this extraordinary cross-stitch alphabet, lovingly stitched by our client over the span of 40 years - a true labour of love.
It’s now housed in a handsome solid walnut frame, paired with UV-protective, anti-reflective glass to ensure every delicate stitch can be admired in perfect clarity, while preserving the piece for generations to come.

A recent bespoke framing project for a client: this architectural print is presented in a hand-finished channeled moulding, with gesso and 23.5ct gold leaf to both the inner and outer sight edges.

The result is a subtle yet striking frame that adds a layer of opulence and classical refinement, perfectly complimenting the precision and elegance of the print.
