Trauma informed training and service redevelopment . We can offer individual.

We work with you (Schools,Social Care,Youth services, Local Safe Guarding Boards, Youth Offending Services, Children's Ctres, Early Years, teams, individuals, service users) to increase your confidence, understanding, knowledge and skills in supporting children and young people manage their feelings such that suicidal thoughts, low mood and a lack of hope are reduced . This can be achieved through having opportunities to ask the difficult questions, reflect on how to respond, and consider how staff look after themselves as well as those they seek to support. Children's services staff repeatedly tell us how they value our programs of work and how opportunities for Reflective Practice improve their practice.. group, peer, team opportunities to reflect on how to get the best from yourself as a professional, your colleagues , your team and most importantly the child, young person, family you are working with. We introduce models from Transactional Analysis and the work of Dr Peter Levine. We increase staff and service users understanding and knowledge of the increasing body of evidence from neuroscience about how our brains and nervous system interact such that traumas can become blocked such that we need a mind/body approach to support recovery. Any member of staff seeking to support a young person manage their feelings needs training. To reflect, to review the ways they engage with service users, to gain new skills, increase their knowledge base. Workshops include: youth self harm; suicide awareness, developing postvention protocols, eating problems, when does low mood become depression, reflective practice groups.....

We offer bespoke training programmes to fit your needs.

A groundbreaking study published in The Lancet shows that a strict elimination diet can dramatically improve ADHD symptoms in young children. After reintroducing certain foods, 63% of children experienced behavioral relapses, highlighting the impact of non-allergic food sensitivities on cognitive function. This challenges traditional views on food allergies and ADHD.

Exciting news as we create our first Urban Physic Garden ..exploring and developing new ways to build relationships of self nurturing between plants and humans! A place to destress and notice the impact of slowness on our wellbeing. The U.P garden @ Bensham Community Ctre, Gateshead.

There s been a lotta garden projects developing over the past 15 years .. we re interested in how they sustain the wellbeing of the planting schemes created and the wellbeing of communities? Who and what shapes a planting scheme, who and what and how sustains them?
How are these relationships captured in terms of impact ,longevity, purpose, meaning.... are there unique qualities and skills required in maintaining plant/ human relationships .. what are the challenges ..human? Financial? Environmental ?

How are Physic gdns framed in todays post modernist society.. the UP garden is "up" for exploring these questions with you and its communities .. so follow us to find out
