✨ Work Hard, Play Harder ✨
Who says “playtime” is just for the little ones? From tree-climbing adventures and forest crafts to throwing some serious kicks and lifting heavy in the fresh air this is what loving your work looks like!

We’re all about those moments where you can just breathe, move, and let your inner child (or inner athlete) run wild. There’s nothing quite like the energy of a group finding their rhythm under the open sky.

Relishing every second of helping this amazing community unwind, get strong, and rediscover the joy of play! 🌲🥊💪

Consider this your gentle permission to pause. 🌿✨

We spend so much of our lives rushing between meetings, school runs, and screens that we forget we are actually part of nature, not separate from it. Making space to just “be” outside isn’t a luxury; it’s how we recalibrate.

You don’t need a deep forest to find that reset. It’s waiting for you exactly where you are:

☀️ On your balcony: Sit with your morning coffee and just watch the clouds move for five minutes.
🪴 In your garden: Put your phone away and notice the life moving through the ivy or the soil.

Or go further afield

🌳 Local SE London gems:
Oxleas Woods: For that deep-forest, ancient woodland feel.

Greenwich Park: For wide-open skies and those incredible views across the river.

Avery Hill Park: For a quiet stroll and the beautiful winter garden.

Lesnes Abbey Woods: For a mix of history and wild, winding paths.

This weekend, can you give yourself ten minutes of “nothing” time outdoors? No podcast, no scrolling, just you and the breeze. 🌬️🍃

The face of someone who realised “Musical Cones” is actually a trap... 😅🏃‍♀️

We’re all about “stealth movement” here. Most of us know we should move, but the thought of a repetitive gym circuit can feel like just another thing on the to-do list. At Gaia, we’d rather turn fitness into play time!

The video you’re seeing was filmed after the crew had already done a fair few rounds of this and it definitely pooped them out! The rules are simple: when the music stops, you find a cone. If you’re the one left without a spot? You’re heading to the sidelines for some core work until the next round starts.

It’s amazing how much further you’ll run and how many burpees you’ll smash when there’s a bit of friendly competition and a lot of laughter involved. This is our core principle: wellbeing that feels like community, not a chore. 🌳✨

Movement is better when we do it together. 💚

✨ MAKE ROOM FOR LAUGHTER: World Laughter Day 2026 ✨

As adults, we often lose touch with our childlike playfulness as life becomes serious and challenging. But that playful side isn’t lost forever sometimes we just need permission to let go of the “seriousness” and reconnect.

Why is intentional laughter so important?

Rewire Your Brain: Consistent laughter encourages neuroplasticity, helping you form new perspectives so everyday stress sits differently.

Find Your Flow: In a state of play, you can experience a sense of clarity and relief from anxiety or depressive thoughts.

Authentic Connection: Sharing a laugh helps us lower our inhibitions, improve our social skills, and form genuine bonds with those around us.

Laughter is a core skill for wellbeing, not just a “soft skill.” Whether it’s through laughter yoga or therapeutic games, it’s time to rediscover your natural ability to laugh for the sake of laughing!

🌈 READY TO JOIN THE FUN? 🌈

We are running FREE upcoming laughter workshops designed to boost your confidence and connection in a safe, non-judgmental space.

Let’s rediscover the joy of play together.

Let’s be honest not everyone wakes up excited to do burpees. 😅

Sometimes, the hardest part of movement is just getting started, especially when it feels like “work.” That’s why we love bringing a bit of play into our Gaia sessions. When you turn exercise into a game, your brain focuses on the fun and the connection, and suddenly the effort just feels like a byproduct.

This is Burpee Tag! 🥊 The premise is simple: perform a burpee at your cone, then race to catch the person ahead of you before they can finish theirs and move on. As people get tagged, a cone is removed, and the circle gets tighter!

It’s fast, it’s a bit chaotic, and it’s a whole lot of laughter. If you’ve been struggling to find your “move,” maybe you just need to find your “play” instead. 🌳✨

Nature is a better update than iOS or Android. 🌿☁️

Ever feel like your brain has too many tabs open? In our latest blog post, I’m talking about Soft Fascination.

Most of our day is spent in “Directed Attention” staring at screens, making decisions, and burning through a limited mental resource. It’s exhausting. Nature offers the opposite. It lets our minds wander without effort, which is exactly how we restore and reset.

If you’re feeling the burnout today, this is your sign to step away from the screen and take it outside. Let the trees do the heavy lifting for a while.

Don’t skip an opportunity to ground yourself today. 🌿✨

I’m a huge believer that taking your shoes off and feeling the earth under your feet isn’t just a “nice to have”—it’s a necessity for our mental health.

Whether we are in the middle of a high-energy bootcamp, sharing space in a women’s circle, or leaning into the absurdity of a laughter session, we almost always take it outside. We are a community that wants to be rooted to our environment, because when we connect with the earth, we’re really reconnecting with ourselves.

Why we make grounding a priority:

Nervous System Reset: It helps shift you out of “fight or flight” mode.

Cortisol Check: Spending time on the grass is a natural way to lower stress hormones.

The “System Update”: It clears the mental fog that comes from too much screen time.

Genuine Connection: It’s much easier to bond with others when you’re out in the elements.

Four walls and a screen just can’t replicate the state of mind you get from five minutes on the grass. Even if you can’t join a session today, find a patch of green and take a moment to root yourself. Your brain will thank you for it.
