A sports massage includes the application of a range of deep manipulative massage strokes. I apply sports massage techniques using thumbs, hands and elbows to attain moderate to deep pressure. Sports massage techniques can be used to target common sports injuries such as muscular strains and tightness. However, sports massage isn’t just for sportsmen and women. Sports massage can also benefit an individual suffering from tight muscles due to occupational stress and demands. The application of a sports massage can be beneficial in a number of circumstances such as;
Pre-event
Post-event
During a training programme
Muscular tightness
Acute pain. PRE EVENT MASSAGE

Pre-event massage includes the application of vigorous and rhythmic massage strokes which can excite muscle fibres and prepare them for physical activity. This massage improves tissue flexibility, maximises performance and reduces the risk of injury. Pre-event massage can also allow time for mental preparation prior to activity allowing individuals to focus and “get in the zone”

Book me for your event! Do you have an event and want your participants to experience the benefits of pre event massage just before the start?

All events catered for: Football & rugby matches, boxing events, athletics, trail runs, running events, strongman comps. POST EVENT MASSAGE
Post-event massage includes the application of slow massage strokes used to relax muscles following activity and assist in the removal of waste products and recovery. The cellular effects following sports massage include an increase in blood circulation which can assist in the removal of metabolic waste products from the working muscles. Post-event massage is used to reduce pain, prevent delayed onset of muscle soreness (DOMS) and relieve muscular tightness. CUPPING THERAPY

Cupping is one of the oldest methods used to release toxins from the body. This is done by putting special cups on the skin to create a suction, this creates increased blood flow to the area and draws toxins up to the surface for elimination. It also draws the blood up which is rich in nutrients to the affected area which promotes healing. Benefits include;
Increased circulation and oxygenation of blood in the affected area
Breaks up adhesions (knots) in tissues
Increases range of motion in the affected area
Stretches myofascial tissue
Increases collagen production and tissue repair
Reduces inflammation
Reduces stress
Cupping is not suitable for those with bleeding disorders, a history of DVT, those taking blood thinning medication, anyone with varicose veins, anyone with heart conditions, any open wounds or pregnant ladies. PRICE LIST
