New year, new workshop magic.❤️

We are so happy to be back co-creating magic with young people after a winter break.

Yesterday was our first day back, talking about how to be well in winter and making body scrubs. The young people absolutely loved creating these from simple ingredients we all have in our kitchen pantry.

For those young people who couldn't be there, we made some extra tubs to take home next week 😊

This is our Programme and Delivery Team for our new Nature & Wellbeing Programme TideWithin- for all young people 10-14. On Thursday we came together to celebrate with our funders  and  and the amazing cohort of funded projects.

It feels special to know that a community panel of local people voted for this project and supports it for the next 2 years to come. Big shoutout and thanks to all of our funders who help us to create the impact on young people's wellbeing.

TIDEWITHIN will run from March 2026 in Stonehouse, with 2 groups throughout 2026 weekly, and offering a blend of nature and wellbeing skills, creative workshops inspired by nature and exciting outings for young people. We'll start taking referrals for young people in the new year.

If you haven't yet, sign up for our Newsletter (see our linktree or bottom of our website) or stay tuned here.

We’ll “invite the sun in” by creating beautiful winter decorations using sunprinting (cyanotype), and we’ll chat about everything from exercise and socialising to media habits and nourishing foods.

Join us for a warm and creative space to explore what helps us feel our best when the days get darker.

Here are some snapshots from our last Confidence Club session with the theme "OVERCOMING FEAR."

Young people carved pumpkins (check out our pumpkin army by scrolling ⬅️ left), we had a lovely discussion around fear and young people enjoyed the carving and got really involved. As usual there is plenty of time to chat about hobbies, music, school and any worries which enables young people to get to know each other better.

Younger children enjoyed the experience sharing of the older ones- something we call the 'Big Sis effect'.

Our next Confidence Club on 📅 10th of November with the theme of "STORIES OF COURAGE AND BRAVERY". This is a special storytelling session around the fire involving sticks, marshmallows and the amazing storyteller Hannah Sneyd

You are in for a treat!

Supporting pre-puberty

Working with young girls on the areas of emotional literacy and menstrual education we have witnessed the positive effects of this work in the girls self-confidence, emotional awareness, body knowledge and healthy body image, which have proven to ease the puberty transition period. In our community work we've noticed that the biggest crisis of confidence occurs between year 5-7 as the transition from primary into secondary school is huge.

We are a Devon based social enterprise supporting young girl's mental health through physical and emotional literacy campaigns and practical support programs. We are also equipping girls' immediate support networks: parents, carers, teachers and schools with resources and useful information around growing up through workshops and programs. We understand that pre-puberty is a crucial time in a young persons' life that needs to be supported.

'Big Sis' founder Friedel Fink (MA in Scenography and interactive concepts and communication, menstrual educator and holistic practitioner) is gathering a team of interdisciplinary experts from the fields of mental health, wellbeing, menstrual education and holistic therapies to support the journey of growing up.
