A huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent raffle here at Beaconville. It was a lovely success and helped bring plenty of smiles, excitement and community spirit into the home.

A special thank you goes to Jaz interiors and Ivybridge Book Shop for their kind generosity and donated prizes. Your support means so much to both our residents and team.

We would also like to give a big well done to our Activities Team for organising the raffle and helping make it such an enjoyable event for everyone involved.
It is always wonderful to see local businesses and the wider community coming together to support our residents and create meaningful moments. Thank you again to everyone who took part.

With the electricity temporarily out yesterday, management took the opportunity to get outdoors and give our planters a well-deserved refresh. They’ve now been freshly painted and filled with vibrant flowers, bringing a lovely burst of colour to the home 🌸

A great example of turning a disruption into something positive—and creating an even more welcoming environment for our residents to enjoy 💛

🔨 Room 8 Renovation Complete at Beaconville 🏡

We’re delighted to share the recent renovation of Room 8 at Beaconville Nursing Home, which has had a complete overhaul and is now looking absolutely fantastic.

A huge thank you to our Site Manager Ian and Brandon for all their hard work and dedication in transforming the room. Their efforts have made a real difference and created a lovely, fresh space ready for someone to enjoy.

At Beaconville we are always looking for ways to improve our environment and enhance the comfort and wellbeing of the people who live here, and this is a great example of that work in action.

🚴‍♀️ Beaconville 24-Hour Sponsored Cycle Challenge 🚴‍♂️

A huge well done and thank you to everyone who took part in our 24-hour sponsored cycle at Beaconville Nursing Home! Staff and supporters came together to keep the bike moving for a full 24 hours to raise money for important equipment that will help enhance the lives of the people who live here.

Thanks to the incredible effort and generosity of everyone involved, we have already raised over £1,000 – and donations are still coming in! 🎉

A special thank you to Jordan for organising the event and dealing with the challenge of booking everyone into their time slots – we know that was no small task! 👏

The energy, teamwork and determination shown by everyone involved was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see so many people coming together for such a meaningful cause.

Lots more staff took part but some of us are camera shy.

Thank you all for making this such a great success and for supporting our residents. 💙

What a lovely day at Beaconville today! 🐴

We were so lucky to have Doodle the horse come to visit us, and residents and staff had an absolute blast. Everyone enjoyed stroking him through the window before he came round to the front door for some up-close time, lots of smiles and special moments.

A huge thank you to Mackenzie for bringing your baby in to see us — visits like this really brighten everyone’s day 💙

What a magical morning we had at Beaconville today! 🎄✨

We were lucky enough to welcome Watsit the horse, who arrived dressed as Santa himself — and he certainly stole the show! The residents absolutely loved giving him treats, having cuddles, and seeing him trot around in his festive outfit. A huge thank you to Mackenzie for bringing him in and spreading so much joy.

It’s also Christmas Jumper Day, and our staff and residents didn’t disappoint! From sparkles to silly jumpers to full festive attire, everyone got stuck in and the home has been buzzing with Christmas cheer all day.
