What a magical morning we had at Beaconville today! 🎄✨

We were lucky enough to welcome Watsit the horse, who arrived dressed as Santa himself — and he certainly stole the show! The residents absolutely loved giving him treats, having cuddles, and seeing him trot around in his festive outfit. A huge thank you to Mackenzie for bringing him in and spreading so much joy.

It’s also Christmas Jumper Day, and our staff and residents didn’t disappoint! From sparkles to silly jumpers to full festive attire, everyone got stuck in and the home has been buzzing with Christmas cheer all day.

Just to let everyone know that beaconville is holding a raffle for some much needed sensory items for the home. Tickets are available from the activities team or staff. Tickets are £2.00 each and the main prize this year is an amazon alexa echo show 😁😁😁😁

Our home is proudly led by Jody Batten , Registered Manager, supported by Ian Rowse, Site Manager, and Jazmine Smith, Deputy Manager in Training.

As many of you will know, our most recent CQC rating was published earlier this year. Since January, there has been a huge amount of work going on behind the scenes – and plenty of visible changes too!

With a brand-new management team, new heads of departments, and a complete overhaul of how we work, we feel we have already come a long way since that report was issued. Our nursing and care staff have worked incredibly hard to adapt to the changes – and have done so with smiles on their faces.

You may not have seen much of the management team around lately as the office has been busy driving these improvements, but please be assured it is all for the greater good of the home.

The maintenance team have also been working tirelessly, and the difference is clear to see. From the home itself to the gardens outside, everything is really starting to take shape and become a place we can all be proud of.

It’s been a tough few months, but in true Beaconville style, we have risen to the challenge. The support from our provider and area manager has been outstanding, and together with our dedicated staff, we are moving forward with pride and determination.

💪 Let’s get this rating changed – we certainly have worked for it!
