✨ What a fantastic holiday our service users have just enjoyed in Blackpool! ✨

They had the best time exploring everything Blackpool has to offer – from the world-famous Illuminations to the fascinating Madame Tussauds and the spooky Blackpool Dungeons 👻🎭.

To top it all off, they stayed at the wonderful The Bond Hotel, Blackpool - Fully Accessible Holidays, where they enjoyed fabulous cabaret entertainment every evening 🎶💃.

So many smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories made – we’re so glad everyone had such a brilliant time! ❤️

✨ Another fun-filled week here at ICL! ✨

Our amazing staff have been busy making sure every day is packed with smiles, laughter, and plenty of activities for our service users. From special outings to everyday moments at home, we’re always proud to see everyone living their best lives. 💜

Today we also waved goodbye to two of our service users from Inglenook and one of our service user from Clearview as they set off for an exciting weekend in Blackpool 🎉. They’ll be enjoying the famous Blackpool Illuminations this evening and making lots of special memories along the way staying at the The Bond Hotel, Blackpool for 3 fabulous nights of cabaret. 💃🏽🕺🌟

✨ Yesterday at ICL, some of our staff team took part in a refresher of Moving and Handling training.

This important training ensures that all of our staff are confident and fully equipped to safely support our service users in their day-to-day needs. 💪

At ICL, we are committed to continually developing our team’s skills so we can provide the very best care while also keeping everyone safe and supported.

🪩 80s Disco Fun! 🕺🎉

Our service users had an absolute blast on Tuesday night at the 80s-themed disco hosted by Plymouth Highbury Trust! 🎶✨

There were neon colours, and some serious dance moves on display – the atmosphere was electric, and the music took everyone right back in time! 🧡💛💚

A massive thank you to Nona, Joanne, and Ricardo who kindly stayed later on shift to support our service users to attend – your dedication and kindness never goes unnoticed 💙

And of course, a big thank you to Plymouth Highbury trust  for putting on such a fun and inclusive event – nights like these mean the world to the people we support. 💃🕺

🌟 Happy Monday Everyone! 🌟

As always, last week was another super busy, across all three of our homes! We had a fantastic time with a variety of trips and activities that kept everyone smiling.

Allison and I attended the Care Home Coffee Catch-Up with two of our service users.
We enjoyed a lovely morning filled with delicious cakes and great company. It was wonderful to see our service users chatting and socialising!

A big thank you to Meadowside and St Francis for hosting such a lovely event – and of course, to our amazing volunteer Nicola who joined us and continues to give her time and kindness so generously 💛

✨ An exciting day for Jess and Me (Lauren) ✨

We’re so proud to share that we’ve both received our certificates from St Luke’s Hospice. Last year, we enrolled on their Six Steps and End of Life Care programme — and we’re delighted to say we’ve both successfully achieved this course, meaning we have both become End of Life Champions at ICL supporting our existing champions Steph and Allison.

🎉 Once again, it’s been a fun-filled and action-packed week across ICL Homes!

We celebrated a special birthday 🥳, enjoyed two amazing trips to see Tina Turner the Musical 🎶, took part in a brilliant football tournament ⚽, and packed in lots of other fun trips and activities.

But the real highlight for some of our service users, Meeting the one and only Connor McIntyre – better known as Pat Phelan from Coronation Street! 📺✨

To top it all off, we ended our Friday with a well-deserved cool and refreshing treat – ice lollies for both staff and service users 🍦☀️
