There was a wonderful sense of creativity in our home this week as residents came together on May Day to make flower wreaths🌸

Using a beautiful selection of artificial flowers and greenery, residents enjoyed crafting their own flower wreaths and flower arrangements. The faux blooms were perfect to work with to make lasting colourful flower arrangements.

The finished wreaths and arrangements looked absolutely stunning and will be proudly displayed in residents rooms 🌼

A big well done to our talented residents for their fantastic creations!

We had a truly special visitor at Manor House this week: Bill the Owl 🦉💛

Bill, a beautiful and gentle therapy Tawny owl, spent time with our residents, bringing smiles, curiosity and plenty of wonderful conversation. For many, it was a rare and memorable experience to see such a magnificent creature up close and even have the chance to interact with him.

Animal visits like this aren’t just enjoyable; they can spark memories, lift spirits and create meaningful moments of connection. Judging by the laughter and excitement throughout the day Bill was a big hit with everyone!

A huge thank you to Bill and his handler for bringing such joy to Manor House. We’re already looking forward to the next visit!

What a wonderful day we had at our Garden Party at Manor House! 🌿☀️

We were delighted to welcome families and friends to celebrate the opening of our very own Air Bee n Bee 🐝💛 — a special space created to support and encourage local wildlife.

Our residents got hands on planting their own herb gardens and beautiful bee friendly plants, helping to create a vibrant, nature-filled environment for everyone to enjoy.

Everyone is welcome: friends, families, and members of the community. Come along for a relaxed morning of coffee, conversation and connection, all while supporting a truly important cause.

At Manor House we are deeply passionate about supporting residents living with dementia and standing alongside their loved ones. We see every day the importance of compassion, understanding and specialist care and we are proud to play our part in raising awareness and funds for Dementia UK.

🐰✨ What a wonderful surprise at Manor House this Easter!
Our residents were absolutely delighted by a special visit from the Easter Bunny, who hopped in to spread smiles and joy all around 🐣💛
With plenty of laughter, warm moments, and delicious chocolate eggs for everyone, it truly lifted spirits and made the day extra special 🍫🌷
A big thank you to our fluffy friend for bringing so much happiness to Manor House — moments like these mean the world to us all! 💕

We had a fantastic and productive staff meeting this week, made even more special by the presence of our Managing Director, Richard White, who actively took part in our company values exercise. It was a great opportunity for everyone to reflect, engage, and strengthen our shared commitment to what matters most.
We were also delighted to present two well-deserved Star Awards to members of our team – Linju Jose and Billie-Jo Kendall. Their hard work, dedication, and ongoing support for our residents truly embody the values of South West Care Homes.
