We did it! I can’t believe only 16 days ago we went back into our “virtually empty” unit after the Christmas and new year break and have managed to send a FULL artic containing over 15T of vital, life saving, life improving and desperately needed aid! It’s some achievement ❤️

A massive thank you to the team in today .. Sue, Lazzer, Penny, Melinda and Jon … the best upload ever and as Stevie says “skin is waterproof “ 😂

A huge shout out to our amazing volunteers who commit so much time and effort to either working up the unit or collecting and delivering donations .. without your hard work and total dedication none of this could happen.❤️

A huge thank you also to Vospers who’s unwavering support allows us to collect and store our aid (rent free) , without this huge act of kindness Puma couldn’t exist 🙏

Thank you to Stevie our forklift driver and Emma his partner who will drop everything to load our “Ukrainian Aid” (Stevie’s quote) 💕

A massive shout out to our hero’s in Ukraine Sergi, Dima and Viktoria.. Sergi now has the task of organising the offload and then organising the distribution of all the aid whether that be by dropping locally or by organising the vans to come and pick up and drop to the Nova P centres for onward train journeys to the front line. Dear Viktoria manages all the customs declarations, the Nova P vouchers, the requests, the constant conversations plus so very much more.. I can message Viktoria at 10pm (midnight in Ukraine) and she will get back to me within 5 minutes! This beautiful lady is an unsung hero 🥰

I don’t want to single out anyone in particular but I think Sue deserves a very special mention. Sue commits everything, up the unit just about every day, spends hours answering messages and doing updates, constantly spending weekends seeking bargains, knows the inner workings of Puma so well I absolutely know she will have the answer to anything I have forgotten. Sue you are amazing 💕

Most of all thank you to you all .. our beautiful, generous, kind and completely amazing Puma family. Every week I look at the donations sent in, .. I keep thinking this bubble will burst soon and folk will stop donating but it doesn’t! It’s so completely and utterly humbling… it’s compassion and kindness at its absolute best. Bless you all, bless and thank you all 🙏🙏❤️❤️

Well that’s my long and emotional post, I don’t know any more words to say how grateful and thankful I am … I just know that this lorry will save so many lives .. WE ALL DID IT 🙏🇺🇦🙏

So, it’s a hot “de-frosting” bath for me and a very large glass or 3 of wine before it all starts again tomorrow!!

Yes donation day is 11-1 .. we’ve got an empty warehouse to fill and guess what? … it’s raining all day! 😂

Recently, we received a plea for help from a low-income family in the Zhytomyr region, a heroic mother with eight children, five of whom are still minors. Puma mainly helps people affected by war, but in this case, we could not refuse to provide support. These sincere smiles are for you, dear Puma donors. You are making the world a better place. Below are words of gratitude from the mother:

🇺🇦❤️ Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Here’s a quick update

Our lorry is arriving Tuesday evening ready for loading at 6am Wednesday..
all parcels and post will be collected up to and including Tuesday and will make this lorry. 💕

‼️Tuesday donation day will be a “limited” donation day so only food items, hygiene items and anything military inc sleeping bags, first aid, camping, thermals, torches etc
Everything else can we ask you to not bring up Tuesday but wait until Thursday when the lorry has left please.
We need to finish pallets, open post, complete paperwork and ensure everything is ready for Wednesday.

The situation in Ukraine is beyond dire.. infrastructure has been seriously hit, nearly all schools have now closed (even in relatively “safe” areas as they are too cold to work in.. ) every single home is without electricity for at least 18 hours a day (those areas that have electricity are put on a rolling closure to preserve the limited power for hospitals etc) it’s bitterly cold, -14° last night and it’s still snowing!

This aid run will probably be one of our most important in nearly 4 years.. Ukraine is freezing, Ukranian’s are hungry, cold and in urgent need .. 40 pallets of aid will arrive in 10 days time bringing relief, bringing warmth and bringing hope.
We have raised funds for 2 generators and have nearly raised enough for a third. These will be bought in Ukraine next week along with a huge food shop (fruit and vegetables etc) that we will pallet down to the front .. hopefully at least 2 pallets (dependant on funds maybe 3 🙏)

Great news from Father Oleg:
Over sixty food parcels from the Puma Plymouth Ukraine Medical Aid charity fund were distributed to residents of the frontline town of Kramatorsk and displaced persons from Chasiv Yar. In addition, at the Pokrovskaya Church in Kramatorsk, we continued to distribute mobility aids for people with disabilities, hygiene products, nappies for children and adults, clothing and gifts for children.

The city of Kramatorsk is a city that is shelled daily, where people remain who simply have nowhere to evacuate to. Thank you for continuing to support them. Your help is invaluable and vital to them💔🙏🏻🇺🇦

❤️❤️ Oh Wow .. what a day again!! We spent all morning boxing and moving things around to make space for 4 pallets to go into the wool room .. we knew Elaine and Colin were coming down early afternoon with a full van ..
Van arrived a little later than expected so it was all hands on deck to unload the van and start to put boxes into their correct categories. (No easy feat with limited space and the heavens opening! )
Anyway, after a 9+ hour day I think we can say we are now winning! 😂
A huge shout out to Colin and Elaine for collecting this invaluable aid and then driving the 6+ hours to Plymouth.. then helping to unload before a quick brew and heading back home! Bless you both so so much, drive safe and steady 🙏
Another shout out to our Puma team in again today, Sue, Lazzer, Clare and Penny plus Jon who dropped everything and came in to help unload the lorry and sort.
My car is already loaded with todays post (so it will be all dry overnight as our latest yellow weather warning for rain begins in the early hours 🫣)
Early start tomorrow… only a few more “work days” until the lorry arrives.
Keep posting, keep sending, pop up to tomorrow’s donation day .. we are not full yet … about 12 pallets still to fill!

Despite the bitter cold🥶 and snow❄️, power outages😭🙏🏻, the dog shelter, which has become a home for many evacuated animals from eastern Ukraine, as well as stray dogs from the west, is very cosy and cheerful🤗🥰❤️ for all the animals. Our favourite shelter is currently supplied with straw and sawdust (partially), but still needs large quantities of cat and dog food, sawdust for the enclosures, toys and medicines for the animals. We are infinitely grateful to the female volunteers who work for free every day at this wonderful shelter; they are simply incredible. Puma will continue to support them as long as there is a need❤️💔❤️

😢🥶 Areas the majority of our aid is delivered to in Ukraine!
All areas, without exception, have limited electricity and gas .. rolling power cuts are now daily! (And that’s if you are lucky! 😢)
Urgent call out for sleeping bags, chemical hand/foot warmers (only a £ in B&M), camping stoves and gas, thermal hats, gloves and vests, knitted blankets, quick food that can be heated like soups, noodles, tinned meats, tea and bovril, powerbanks so folk can charge their mobiles to keep in contact with alerts, ground mats, hot water bottles plus and so importantly, generators to power heat or boil kettles
We can buy for you in Ukraine or here in the uk
But there is currently a severe weather alert in Ukraine at the worse possible time 😢
Any help would save lives ###

Wow it was back in full amazing swing!

Despite the torrential rain (it wouldn’t be Plymouth without it 🫣😂) we had truly amazing donations 💕💕 The post is finally arriving so Sue will do the update in a little while.

Just over a week until the lorry arrives .. we are nearly half full so please send or pop up next week .. 🙏

Thank you so much to the Puma team in today.. Sue, Clair, Melinda, Lesley, Lazzer and my son Oscar (it was great to have a little fun youth around and yes he is as energetic as me 😂😂)
