Norovirus: Don't pass it on this winter.
For patients who are already poorly and venerable in hospital the virus can be very unpleasant and harmful.

If you have been feeling unwell recently, experiencing any symptoms of diarrhoea, sickness or nausea please do not visit your loved one until you have fully recovered, or for at least two days after your symptoms have gone

Talking about su***de can be difficult.

However, learning how to talk about it in a safe and hopeful way has the power of potentially saving lives and avoiding reinforcing stigma that can prevent people from seeking the support they need.

Refrain from using the term ‘committed’. 'Commit' implies su***de is a sin or crime, reinforcing the stigma that it’s a selfish act and personal choice. Su***de has not been a crime in England since 1961.

Instead, let's use phrases such as 'died by su***de' or 'experienced suicidal thoughts'.
Let's keep talking about su***de safely and sensitively, and keep saving young lives. 💜

If you have the flu, there are some things that you can do to help yourself get better, such as:
- Rest and sleep
- Keeping warm
- Taking paracetamol or ibuprofen to lower your temperature and to treat aches and pains
- Giving paracetamol or ibuprofen to your child if they're distressed or uncomfortable - check the packaging to make sure the medicine is suitable for your child, or speak to a pharmacist or GP if you're not sure
- Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration (your p*e should be light yellow or clear)
