We are so lucky that 99% of the calls our team receives are from kind, patient, and considerate people. Your smiles (even over the phone!) make our jobs rewarding.
Unfortunately, a very small number of interactions can be difficult. We want to kindly remind everyone that we operate a Zero Tolerance Policy toward abuse. We never enjoy having to enforce it, but our team deserves a safe and respectful workplace so they can continue providing the best care for you.

Do you know the early signs of dementia?
In the beginning, dementia symptoms can be subtle, easy to miss, and sometimes hard to distinguish from normal age-related changes or other conditions. Because of this, many people don’t feel concerned enough to see their GP.
But if you notice any changes, it’s important to pay attention.
It might not be dementia - but if it is, catching it early can make a real difference. Early diagnosis opens the door to the right care, treatment, and support.
If you recognise any of these common dementia symptoms in yourself or someone you care about, download our symptoms checklist and make an appointment with your GP.

Peverell Park Surgery consists of 1 managing Partner and 7 GP partners.
The surgery’s boundary area includes segments of Peverell; Ham; Mannamead; Mutley and City Centre, however this list is not exclusive. If you would like to register with Peverell Park Surgery or the University Medical centre, and do not fall within these areas, please contact us and we will be able to advise you on whether you reside within acceptable parameters.
Peverell Park Surgery was originally established at 202 Peverell Park Road and then in 1993 the surgery moved to the old stable block at Pounds House. Pounds House was originally built for a local wealthy businessman in 1825 on 60 acres of land. After extensive renovation the stable block became the surgery we all see today.
Many of our patients come from families who have been with the surgery for several generations. We are delighted to encourage this continuity of care for family medicine but of course we welcome new patients too.
Peverell Park Surgery is part of Sound Health Alliance which are a GP federation of 15 member practices, covering a population of approximately 112,000 patients in Plymouth. Sound Health Alliance will work together to ensure limited resources are used in the best way to meet the needs of the patients we service. They will support and empower our patients with self-management. For more information, please visit: www.soundhealthalliance.co.uk
