How fitting that we display our first installation of Poppies at The Park today and this afternoon we have a military funeral attended by veterans.

This years marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and today we started to install our Poppies at The Park display. Our first display is our knitted poppies on the bridge that leads from Car Park 1 to Ceremony Room 1. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our local residents who knitted these poppies and donated them to us.

Over the coming weeks our display of Poppies at The Park will increase as we approach Remembrance Day on 11th November.

If you would like to donate knitted poppies to The Park it’s not to late as we will continue to add to our display. Please drop your knitted poppies to Cafe at The Park and we will arrange for your poppies to be added to our display.

To come in and see our Poppies at The Park, The Park and public cafe are open every day and at weekends 10am until 3pm.

One of the cemeteries we look after is Ridge Cross Cemetery located on Wembury Road. This cemetery has a selection of ashes burial plots and graves to remember your loved ones. There is also a dedicated Muslim grave section and dedicated Jewish grave section in this cemetery.

The cemetery grounds are open 365 days a year.

One of the most common questions we get asked is whether a family member can bring a dog to a funeral. We understand how important a dog can be to a family so the answer is yes! We just ask that the dog is kept on a leash and any accidents or mess is cleaned up straight away by the owner.

Dogs on leads are also welcome in our cemeteries and crematorium and again we ask that the owner clears up after their four legged friend.

And whilst visiting The Park pop into our cafe with your dog and treat it to a doggy ice cream 🐕
