There’s a common misconception that emergency contraceptive pill is the same as an abortion pill.

In reality, emergency contraception works by delaying or preventing ovulation, meaning it helps stop a pregnancy before it can begin. It does not cause an abortion.

Understanding how it actually works helps clear up confusion and supports informed choices about reproductive health.💙

Understanding HIV Transmission Risks: What You Need to Know

For transmission to occur, infectious fluids must enter the bloodstream of an uninfected person—this can happen through direct contact with mucous membranes (such as those in the va**na, or re**um), open wounds, or sharing needles.

Important: Casual contact does not pose a risk. Activities like hugging, sharing food, using the same toilet, or exposure to sweat, saliva, or coughs do not involve the exchange of enough bodily fluids to cause transmission.

Stay informed. Stay safe. End the stigma.
