Our Contraceptive Service is available to patients under 54 years old and have started their periods.

According to the Pharmaceutical Journal data, published on 13 February 2025, there were 14,905 cases reported in 2024, compared with 856 cases in 2023. Thus is a massive 1600% increase!

The following patients are eligible to receive this FREE NHS service: – Adults 40+ years old who do not have a diagnosis of hypertension – Adults under the age of 40 with a family history of hypertension (this is at our pharmacist’s discretion and appointment availability) – Self-requested adults between the ages of 35-39 (this is at our pharmacist’s discretion and appointment availability).

Please note we are unable to provide this service to patients who already have their blood pressure monitored regularly by a healthcare professional.

High blood pressure often has no symptoms—but knowing your numbers could help prevent serious health issues. Stay ahead of the game and keep your heart happy!
