This afternoon we carried out Barry’s funeral in Devonport — a service done a little differently, in a way appropriate to him.

With the family’s blessing, the bearers and I joined the congregation in raising a glass (a small shandy, don’t worry) in the sunny weather to honour Barry’s life and the man he was.

Today we had the honour of conducting a beautiful horse and carriage funeral for a much-loved lady, Lynda. The service took place at Efford Cemetery and was officiated by Father Morgan.

With a traditional horse-drawn hearse and a heartfelt burial service, it was a dignified and touching farewell surrounded by family, friends, and sunshine.

A huge thank you to Jane at Kilvey Carriage Hire South Wales and our two magnificent stallions, Willem and Sikke, who looked truly stunning today.

The views from outside Chapel 2 at The Park Crematorium are especially beautiful on a sunny day like today. A calm space for reflection, surrounded by flowers and nature. It was the perfect place for family and friends to gather after today’s funeral.

What a beautiful day it was for the burial of a truly lovely wife, mother, and friend.

The peaceful setting and clear skies felt like a quiet nod from above, a gentle farewell in the most natural surroundings.

Thank you to Yealmpton Woodland Burial Association for providing such a beautiful, yet meaningful place to say goodbye.
