We are excited to announce that, starting on October 1st, we will continue to offer a new round of British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 courses!

We have courses scheduled until the end of the year, so you can book as far in advance as you wish!

Our courses will be taught by our lovely deaf teaching team, who have a combined experience of over 50 years. This is the only course in Plymouth taught by deaf, native BSL users.

This course comes with an array of benefits, from access to our online Introduction to BSL course (worth £70!) to exclusive discounts on our other courses!

🌟 At Complete Independence, We Believe in an Inclusive and Diverse Workforce 🌟

Our aim is towards removing barriers, enhancing training, and ensuring impartial hiring, we make Access to Work easier and more effective for all.

Aimed at supporting deaf and disabled people to take up and remain in work, Access to Work (ATW) is a government programme that offers free support based on your needs, which may include a grant to help cover the costs of practical support in the workplace.

There is a wide variety of support available through us, including, but not limited to, a communicator, a support worker or a job coach.

If you believe that you are in need of support within your workplace that isn’t covered by reasonable adjustments from your employer, you will first need to apply to Access to Work. This can be done in several ways and we are here to guide you through the process.

British Sign Language classes

We are passionate about British Sign Language (BSL) and the Deaf Community. For us, access to communication is at the core of everything we do and we want to go some way to creating a world where everyone knows BSL.

As an Institute of British Sign Language (IBSL) registered training centre, we have the pleasure of being able to offer the following courses: IBSL Level 1 British Sign Language and IBSL Level 2 in British Sign Language.

We are also offering Bespoke Courses for individuals or organisations who don't need to achieve a formal qualification, but would rather learn specific elements that are pertinent to their life, career or goals. Click here to find out more
