From 20 October 2025, patients that have been advised by their GP to have blood tests can now book appointments at both Windsor House and Derriford Outpatients. This change is designed to reduce waiting times, improve patient experience, and give patients more choice.

Patients can book online for their appointments from 16 October. If you have limited or no access to the internet, provisions have been made and you can call our dedicated phoneline on 01752 433040.

If you are attending a UHP hospital appointment (e.g. with a consultant or specialist team) and have also been asked to have bloods taken, we encourage you to book an appointment, where you are able to. This gives you the convenience of knowing when you’ll be seen.

If you’ve been asked by your consultant or team to have bloods taken in preparation for a procedure, and you can’t book in time, you will still be seen at Derriford Outpatients’ phlebotomy service through the urgent or same-day pathway. We’ll do our best to keep waits as short as possible, but cannot guarantee waiting times.

If you’re unable to book an appointment, you do not need to book between 8am-11am, but please confirm with your clinician if this applies to you.

More information and how to book appointments is available on our website: https://www.plymouthhospitals.nhs.uk/phlebotomy/

Pathfields Medical Group – Patient Feedback Questionnaire. Proposed Catchment Area Boundary Extension to Sherford.
Pathfields Medical Group is exploring a potential boundary extension to include parts of the Sherford area. This would allow new residents within this community to register with Pathfields, improving choice and continuity of care for those living nearby.
We would appreciate your feedback to help us understand patient views before we look at next steps.
