Did you know having more than five sunburns in your lifetime doubles your risk of developing melanoma skin cancer?

With the beautiful sunny weather and heatwave we’ve been having, it's the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors — but don’t forget to protect your skin.

🧴 Always wear SPF 30+ or ideally 50+, reapply regularly, and don’t skip your ears, lips, and scalp.
🧢 Hats, sunglasses, and shade are your best friends — especially between 11am–3pm when the sun’s rays are strongest.
🔍 Know your skin. Check your skin. If you notice a mole changing shape, size, or colour — or anything unusual — get it checked.

Yesterday, our wonderful Dental Therapist Rebecca and Dental Nurse Rachel had the pleasure of visiting Yealmpton Farm Primary School for the Year 5 & 6 Careers Fair!

They spent the afternoon chatting with curious young minds about what it’s like to work in dentistry — from looking after healthy smiles to what it takes to become a dental professional. 👩⚕️🦷👨⚕️

It was a fantastic opportunity to answer questions, share experiences, and (hopefully!) inspire a few future dentists, dental nurses, or hygienists along the way.
