Stay safe in the heat! Here’s how to protect your skin and reduce your risk of skin damage:
Top Tips for Sun Safety:
1. Use sunscreen: Choose an SPF of 30 or higher, and apply it generously every 2 hours. Don’t forget often-missed spots like ears, neck, and feet
2. Seek shade: Between 11am and 3pm, the sun is at its strongest. Stay in the shade or wear protective clothing during this time.
3. Cover up: Wear a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and long-sleeved clothing to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
4. Drink plenty of water: Keep hydrated to avoid dehydration and heat exhaustion.
5. Check your skin: Regularly check for any unusual changes in your skin or moles. Early detection of skin issues can save lives.
