🌸 Healing Isn’t Linear 🐞

🌿Healing doesn’t move in straight lines.
Some days you feel strong, vibrant, and open to life again.
Other days, you find yourself right back in the stillness, wondering if you’ve undone all your progress.

🌸But healing isn’t about perfection.
It’s about presence.

🦋During my own recovery, there were days I could barely do anything.
And I learned that rest is still movement — just a quieter kind.

The body doesn’t need us to control it; it needs us to listen.
Every pause, every breath, every tear… it all belongs to the journey.

Healing asks for patience, tenderness, and trust — especially on the days that feel like “one step back.”
Those moments are often where the deepest healing is happening. 💗

✨ Embodiment Practice:
Close your eyes and take one deep breath.
On the exhale, release any idea that your healing should look a certain way.
Place your hand on your heart and whisper:
“I am healing, even here.”

🌸Redefining Resilience 🐞

🌿For much of my life, I thought resilience meant being strong no matter what.
Holding it all together. Keeping going, even when my body whispered, “Please slow down.”

But over time, and through recovery, I’ve learned that true resilience isn’t about pushing through.
It’s about staying connected to yourself — especially when life feels uncertain.

💫Resilience can look like tears.
💫It can look like rest.
💫It can look like asking for help or saying, “Not today.”

When I allowed myself to soften, my strength didn’t disappear — it became wiser, deeper, and far more sustainable.

🦋Now, in my work with women, I help them find that same gentle strength — the kind that rises through compassion, not control. 💗

✨ Embodiment Practice:
Place one hand over your heart.
Feel the warmth there and take three slow breaths.
Notice where your body feels supported — maybe by your chair, the floor, or your breath itself.
Whisper quietly: “I am supported.”

🌺 Listening to the Body’s Wisdom 🐞

🌿Your body is always speaking — through sensations, emotions, tension, or stillness.
❓The question is… are you listening?

For so long, I didn’t. I pushed through, ignored the whispers, and only stopped when my body made me pause.

🌸But over time, I learned that my body wasn’t against me — it was guiding me.
Every ache, every wave of emotion, every quiet nudge carried information.
It was showing me where I needed rest, nourishment, or truth.

🦋Now, I listen.
And I help other women do the same — to rebuild trust with their bodies, to understand the language of their nervous systems, and to honour what’s needed moment by moment. 💗

This is what embodiment is — coming home to your body’s intelligence, your intuition, and your inner calm.

✨ Embodiment Practice:
Take a slow breath.
Scan your body gently from head to toe.
Notice one place that feels tight, warm, or tender.
Place your hand there and whisper: “I’m listening.”
Your body holds so much wisdom — it just needs your attention.

🌙 The Power of Surrender 🐞

🌸For so long, I thought surrender meant giving up.
But I’ve learned it’s actually one of the deepest forms of strength. 💫

🦋Surrender is the moment we stop fighting our body and start listening to it.
It’s the space where healing begins — in softness, trust, and presence.

During my recovery, surrender looked like:

✨ Rest
✨ Breath
✨ Tears
✨ Stillness
✨Meditation

🫶It meant honouring my body’s pace instead of my to-do list.
And it taught me that surrender isn’t weakness — it’s power in motion.
A dance between letting go and allowing what’s next to unfold.

💗In my work with women navigating illness, fertility, or burnout, I see this transformation often — the moment surrender replaces striving, the nervous system softens, and the body begins to trust again.

✨ Embodiment Practice:

Take a deep breath in.
On your exhale, soften your shoulders and jaw.
Whisper to yourself: “I allow.”
Repeat three times.

If someone you care about is going through fertility problems here are a few ways you can support them.

Create a safe space for them to share and really listen. It can be tempting to offer positive stories of successful pregnancies that you've heard about or tell them they've got time.

Whilst this might feel like your helping it could add to the pressure they are already feeling. Leading them to question why it hasn't happened yet. Stress is something we want to reduce when a person is trying for a baby.

You could offer to attend the difficult appointments with them. Especially if they are for fertility treatments or if they are perhaps receiving results of testing, even just sitting in the waiting room shows how much you care and how much you support them with their journey.

It's in our nature to want to solve problems and relieve loved ones when they are sad, worried and upset. The best thing you can do is be there, let them feel and sit with them.

🌸 From Pushing Through to Flowing With 🐞

There was a time when “pushing through” was my superpower. 💪
As a young working mum and forces wife, life called for focus, strength, and a kind of determination that didn’t leave much room for slowing down.

There were days when I felt I had to hold everything together — family, responsibilities, emotions — all while showing up with a brave face. I was so used to being the strong one that I didn’t realise how deeply my body longed for softness.

That masculine energy helped me survive many storms…
But when I faced breast cancer, and later, a brain tumour, I realised that survival alone wasn’t enough. My body was asking for a different way — one that didn’t come from force, but from flow.

✨I had to learn to soften.
✨To listen.
✨To let my body lead, rather than push it forward.

That’s when I truly met my divine feminine energy — the part of me that trusts, surrenders, and flows with life’s rhythm.

🦋Now, through my work, I help women rediscover that same flow — the balance between strength and softness, doing and being.

✨ Try this embodiment moment:

Place one hand on your heart, one on your lower belly.
Take 3 slow breaths and ask, “What do I need today?”
Listen — not with your mind, but with your body.

This is where flow begins. 💫

Sharing a pregnancy success story today:

"I saw one of your members for fertility reflexology after suffering several recurrent pregnancy losses.

From the first appointment your reflexologist was knowledgeable, approachable and sensitive to my situation.

After every appointment I always felt super relaxed and recharged on another level!

The reproductive reflexologist worked on different areas depending on where I was in my cycle and she also gave me some pressure points for both my husband and I to work on in between my appointments.

After a couple of months of treatments I fell pregnant with a successful pregnancy and carried on with my reflexology treatments throughout the pregnancy.

I will always be grateful to your member for helping us and I believe that the reflexology contributed to us having a successful pregnancy and welcoming our son into the world."

Isn't that wonderful? We have trained reproductive reflexologists all over the UK and beyond. Our directory of members is global. Visit our website to find one local to you.

🐞During my breast cancer journey, I was told worst-case scenarios and endless medical statistics. Fear and numbness became my shield.

But I made a choice.
I didn’t go to war with cancer.
I didn’t fight my body.

🌸Instead, I softened. I found compassion. I learned to surrender and love myself in a way I never had before.

🦋That changed everything — not only for my own healing, but for the work I now do with women on their fertility journeys.

✨ In my latest blog, I share more of this story and how it has shaped the way I support women to rebuild trust with their bodies.

Thank you Association of Reproductive Reflexologists for this post … I love using Reproductive Reflexology to support the women that I work with 🫶

Many women come to see our reproductive reflexologists feeling frustrated and disheartened after trying to conceive without success. Often, they’ve never been taught how their menstrual cycle truly works or how small imbalances can affect fertility.

One of the things we spend a lot of time on is education. Understanding your cycle is so important when trying to get pregnant.

We offer specialised reflexology for fertility, but our support goes beyond that. We often use tools like OvuSense and cycle tracking to gain deeper insights, and we help women understand things like their luteal phase length, ovulation timing, and progesterone levels.

The luteal phase is the second half of your cycle, starting after ovulation and ending when your next period begins. It’s during this time that your body prepares for a potential pregnancy. If this phase is too short or not properly supported, it can make it harder to conceive.

What we often see is that under stress, the cycle can become irregular or imbalanced. That’s why our approach focuses on gently supporting and rebalancing each phase of the cycle, while also holding space for the emotional side of this journey.

If you’ve been trying to conceive and feel like something’s being missed, know that there is help available. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Our reproductive reflexologists are here to listen, to guide, and to support you every step of the way.

From Fear to Compassion: How My Healing Journey Shapes the Work I Do

During my breast cancer journey, I was given countless statistics and worst-case scenarios. I remember the fear, the numbness, and the heaviness of not knowing what the future would hold.

But I also remember finding a quiet inner voice reminding me: They don’t know me. They don’t know what I’m capable of.

That was the moment everything began to shift. Not through fighting, but through softening, compassion, and surrender.

💌 I share how this journey has shaped the way I now support women on their fertility path in my new blog.
