About Full Head Esteem

I have worked as an art psychotherapist for the last 18 years and bring a rich mix of experience and transferable skills from my work within a variety of health and social care settings, to my practice as a hairdresser. I now offer a specialist hairdressing service for people with mental health difficulties and additional needs, who would not ordinarily feel able to access a mainstream salon. I am currently working two days per week in Stars Hair & Beauty Spa at City College Plymouth and work on a self-employed basis as a stylist with Peace Hair & Beauty, in Oreston. In partnership with Julia Calvert at Peace Hair & Beauty, I have created a ‘quiet’ space for people who find the busy-ness and activities of a hair salon daunting and overwhelming, and will be doing all that I can to continue to adapt my practice, so that people feel relaxed and can fully enjoy the experience at Peace Hair & Beauty Salon.
