☘️ What a wonderful day at Michaelstowe Care Home! ☘️
Today we celebrated St Patrick’s Day in true Irish style 🇮🇪 with a delicious traditional Irish coddle followed by a lovely homemade apple cake 🍏🍰
Those who dared even enjoyed a glass of Guinness to toast the occasion! 🍺💚
There were smiles all around as residents enjoyed great food, good company, and a touch of Irish cheer!
Here’s to laughter, warmth, and making special memories together. Happy St Patrick’s Day everyone! ☘️✨

What a wonderful day celebrating the amazing mothers of Michaelstowe! Our home was filled with music, laughter, and love as residents enjoyed a joyful sing-along followed by a delightful high tea, with family and loved ones joining us for the celebration. 🎶☕
It was so special to see everyone together, sharing memories, smiles, and precious moments.
🌷 Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers of Michaelstowe — thank you for the love, strength, and wisdom you bring to our community every day. 💖

🌷🌼 Spring is Blooming at Michaelstowe! 🌼🌷

We’ve been busy getting Michaelstowe ready for the brighter days ahead! Our residents have been enjoying lots of wonderful spring activities – from planting colourful flowers and creating beautiful flower arrangements, to brightening up our home with cheerful spring displays. 🌸

We even enjoyed a lovely trip to the local garden centre to choose some beautiful new flowers to plant and enjoy together. There’s nothing like a bit of fresh air, nature, and gardening to bring smiles all around! 🌿🌞

We can’t wait to watch everything grow over the coming weeks. Spring has truly arrived at Michaelstowe! 💐

Love was truly in the air at Michaelstowe this Valentine’s Day ❤️
Our home was filled with laughter, delicious, themed treats, and so many beautiful smiles. From heart-shaped goodies to joyful moments shared together, it was a day full of warmth and togetherness.
While we celebrated, we also held close the memories of those we miss, loved ones gone but never forgotten. 💕 Their love continues to live on in our stories, our smiles, and our hearts.
Here’s to love in all its forms, past, present, and always. 💘

Today our travels took us to beautiful Italy, and what a delicious day it was! 😋
We enjoyed a homemade spaghetti carbonara, followed by a classic traditional tiramisu that went down a treat 🍝🍰
In the afternoon, everyone became an Italian chef as we made our own homemade pizzas, choosing all our favourite toppings 🍕❤️
We finished the day in true Italian style with a refreshing gelato sundae 🍨
Smiles, memories, and plenty of full bellies – la dolce vita at Michaelstowe!

✈️🌍 Our 2026 world tour has officially begun at Michaelstowe!
In honour of Burns Night, today we travelled to bonnie Scotland 🏴
Our brave travellers sampled haggis (and survived!), enjoyed a traditional feast of tatties and mince, washed down with Irn-Bru and a wee Scotch whisky 🥃
Passports are now stamped and ready for our next adventure in February…
Even our visiting electrician Adam got involved 👀

We had a 'grate' time celebrating National Cheese Lovers Day here at Michaelstowe! Our residents enjoyed tasting a selection of delicious cheeses, perfectly paired with a glass of wine🍷to complement every bite. Lots of smiles, shared memories, and lively conversations made it a truly special evening💛

At Michaelstowe, it’s not just about the cheese…it’s about the moments we create together 🧀✨

Throughout December, Michaelstowe has been collecting a small selection of items as part of the 100 Good Deed Challenge in support of Plympton Food Bank. 🩵
Our wonderful Activities Coordinator Lauren, delivered the donations this morning, and we truly hope they help someone in our community during a time of need 🩵
