This probably doesn't seem much to some people, but a fact about me, I have a fear of water, more so swimming in the open sea or "wild" water and going underneath!
Despite this, this week I decided to make myself uncomfortable and push myself outside of my comfort zone. I decided to book something to do with my eldest that I knew he loves, and take part myself instead of standing on the sideline.
I booked Adrenalin Quarry Inflatable Assualt Course, I love an assualt course but in a water filled quarry scared me so much!
I was unbelievably nervous, if you know me you know I will give most things a go, but I don't really enjoy activities that involve water unless I am in a boat or on a ride 😂.
I did it... and loved it! We laughed so much, and had great fun! I am glad I was brave to be able to spend the quality time doing something Caden loved.
Once I had got in the water and gone under after going down a very high slide that propelled me off the end (see picture) 🤣I was ok and tried to not think about it.
A great bonus, the sun shone for us too! ☀️😎🥰
Moral of the story: "The biggest rewards in life are found outside your comfort zone. Live with it. Fear and risk are prerequisites if you want to enjoy a life of success and adventure.”
