The event will be an exhibition style event with a few guest speakers across the morning and after lunch.

The event will be opened by Mr Chris Oppong, founder of the Plymouth Pelvic Floor Unit and he will also present on the charity Operation Hernia.

Good Morning

Just wanted to share our “ Save the date” flyer for our BaBe event in October.

As you know, this event is going to be slightly longer with a couple of presentations and a buffet lunch provided.

It’s also to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the BaBe events 🤩

We hope you’ll all be able to join us, the event is free and for the public to come along and gain some guidance on how to help self manage both bladder and bowel continence management, from both healthcare professionals and our wonderful colleagues access the medical device companies.

Thank you to everyone that came along to our BaBe yesterday. Hopefully everyone had a great morning, it was lovely seeing you all again, and a very warm welcome to those of you who came along for the first time.

As usual, a heartfelt thank you to our lovely colleagues for giving up your valuable time to present yesterday. Apologies to James and Leighan, I forgot to get a photo as I was engrossed on listening to your presentations!

Hi

Looking forward to seeing everyone at our next BaBe on Wednesday 2nd July! We’ve had a couple of changes to the agenda, we sadly don’t have a dietician this time but we’re hoping we will for October and we no longer have Miss Lai however, we have James, one of our Registrars standing in presenting on colorectal cancer followed by Kate, lead Cancer CNS.

We’re very much looking forward to listening to a couple of patient stories, these are always a privilege to hear and I’m sure you’ll find them both interesting and informative.

See you all on Wednesday, 9.30 am at The Future Inn, Plymouth for welcome drinks with the first presentation at 10 am.

A great start to 2025 BaBe Events!

Thank you to our lovely guest speakers today, giving fantastic presentations and helping to raise knowledge and awareness of different conditions and how to manage them.

As always, a huge thank you to our wonderful Reps from a range of companies, specifically covering all aspects of bladder and bowel health. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to hold our wonderful events, so we’re always so grateful for your support.

Our next event is lined up for 2nd July, so please do come along. Whilst covering very sensitive topics, we always manage to have fun at our events.

This year marks the 10 year Anniversary of the Pelvic Floor Unit!! 🤩🤩

So, to mark this, our October event will be a celebration and we may even have CAKE!! 🎂

Oh my…what a fabulous turnout today for our very first Bladder and Bowel Exhibition for World Continence Week 2024!

This was very different to our usual BaBe events with no presentations but instead access to a wealth of specialist advice etc from a wide range of specialist healthcare providers and our wonderful medical device experts across the industry.

I would like to say a huge thank you to both our wonderful medical device companies who without their support, we would not be able to do these events, but also to our wonderful colleagues across all specialities who gave up their time to come today…THANK YOU ALL!

Thank you to Mr Mark Coleman and Ms Emma Horrocks, both Consultant Colorectal Surgeons for dropping by today and also offering your support, lovely to see you both and much appreciated.

Our next BaBe event is on Friday 18th October at The Future Inn, and will be our usual programme of mini presentations etc.

We look forward to seeing you there but will be in touch nearer the time.
