Here at Your Hearing Consultants we love to shout out our fellow local independent businesses.

Just two doors down from our clinic on Selby high street, is the fantastic Muckypups Hub dog groomers!

From start to finish, our experience was flawless. Booking an appointment was incredibly easy – quick, hassle-free, and super flexible, which made things so convenient.

Rebecca took her cockapoo, Barley, in for a full groom, and the team could not have been more lovely. From the moment she walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly warm, gentle, and clearly passionate about dogs. Barley is usually a little nervous in new places, but Kim put her completely at ease with her kind and caring approach.

The results? Absolutely amazing! Barley came out looking so smart and well-groomed – honestly the best she’s ever looked. The attention to detail was outstanding, from her perfectly trimmed paws to the neat finish on her ears and tail. She even smelled divine for days afterwards!

On top of all that, the pricing was fantastic – such great value for the level of service and care we received.

Huge thanks to Kim for taking such wonderful care of Barley. We’ll definitely be back to and Your Hearing Consultants will be recommending you to every dog owner we know!🐾

Did you know that adopting relaxation tactics can help to combat hearing loss?

By relaxing and taking deep breaths, you're increasing blood flow to important parts of your brain. Focusing on ambient sounds like birds or people can let you work on hearing the world around you.

If you meditate on noises often, you'll become more attuned to them during your daily life. You'll be able to subconsciously notice smaller sounds where they would have been missed before. While this is more of a mental hearing improvement than a physical one, it can prove helpful.
